Thankful Thursday - PEACE

John 14:27 (Amplified® Bible)

"Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give {and} bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I love the amplified version of this particular verse, it says very clearly to us that we should stop worrying about everything. So today I am thankful that even in the midst of changes and needs and a lot of things to worry about. God has given us His own PEACE and guess what? God's PEACE is a deep, spiritual peace unaffected by the world. Praise HIM for that!!
I have needs, I have bills to settle, debts to pay, health concerns, decisions to make but I have God's PEACE.
Goodbye Winters
This morning Laura and Sue Winter, flew back to England, last night Rachel Winter went ahead of them. They stayed here in Manila for three weeks and helped us in Fishnets ministries. They were in the feeding ministry, they were also involved in the carnival fair for the kids, and Sue did a talk on nutrition and healthy foods. Laura and Rachel attended youth services, shared their testimony and did a lot of things.
I did not have the chance to see them this morning because our motorbike is broken and we were late so it’s quite sad but we will see each other again soon.
It is always nice when we received visitors from other countries, they got to experience our culture and we on the other hand have a glimpse of theirs.
Last night, they tried to eat balut. (one of the exotic food here in the Philippines). For the duration of their stay here, they ate rice for every meal. They had potatoes for breakfast and a lot more weird and wonderful experience they will never forget.
Surely, we will miss you all. We will wait for your next visit. We love you.
Radar detectors
I wish there is some kind of radar detectors that can detect that you are loosing your PR so you can make necessary steps to not lose it at all. You know like the way they are being used by motorists to detect if they are over speeding or not so they will not be issued a ticket.
And don't you wish you have also radar detectors for trials and problems coming in your way so you would know what to do and you could have at least prepared for it? That would be nice right?
You know I  feel a bit sad of losing this blog's PR but blog life has to go on. I'm positive I'm going to get it back soon.
We are back!
We were out of town for three days and we got back yesterday afternoon but I only had the time to post now. We went to Bataan for ministry and recreation as well with our four friends from UK and Holland. We absolutely loved the place. It was a four hour drive from Manila but it's worth it. Here's a view from the rooftop of the house we stayed in.
It is so quiet and peaceful, I actually loved having no internet for a time although there was a Samsung HDTV there is no cable as well so you really have not much distraction from the peacefulness of the place.
This is the vacant lot where a new church building will rise (praying and claiming it in Jesus' name)
I have loads of pictures and will upload them on my next post.
Children's Ministry Update
Last Saturday was the last major activity for our children’s ministry. The Praisin Kids Town (Carnival fair) is an annual event we do for kids who can not afford to go to theme parks and play and get some prizes for themselves. This has been a very very good activity for them since we started it two years ago. We started the day early last Saturday and we are so glad that it didn’t rain until we’re done with the activity.
We expected only a hundred of kids but more than 150 kids came. Good thing we have lots of toys as prizes and we just ordered additional snacks for them. Once again we thank everyone for the support (prayer, money, time) you have given to us.
As usual, we borrowed the neighbor’s car to pick up the kids from their place to the event venue. God bless his soul for being so supportive to us every time. We are really praying because we really need a ministry van for the children’s ministry. I hope someday soon we’ll have one, and of course we do not need those luxury vans that are expensive and have high end car exhaust, we are praying for something like this:
Please pray with us for this vehicle. We need it badly, we will be using that van for museum and park trips for the kids and for the Saturday feeding as well.
And now, we are already planning the Christmas party for the kids which will happen on December 04 ( Saturday) we are hoping we can give each family a grocery bag (something) that they can cook for Christmas eve. I will update everyone with what’s going to happen for the kids party from time to time.
Thank you for being a part for the ministries here in the Philippines, If you want to know more about this Urban Poor ministry you can visit International Teams (Philippines) website.
WHAT FAITH CAN DO
by: KUTLESS
Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it’s more than you can take
But you're stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
It’ll be alright
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
Overcome the odds
You don't have a chance
(That’s what faith can do)
When the world says you can’t
It’ll tell you that you can!
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
That's what faith can do!
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise
Congregation Builder Event Registration Software Is A Breeze
Congregation Builder's Web Based Event Registration Software Is A Breeze
Many times you purchase a software application and, as soon as you upload it, you realize that you are in way over your head. That is not the case with Congregation Builder's web based event registration software.
Web Based Event Registration Software
Congregation Builder, a church management software company, has created an application for web based event registration software which is simple and user-friendly. Congregation Builder recognizes that not everyone operates at the same level of understanding when it comes to computers and the internet. For instance, some people may not be able to tell you the difference between an HTML site and a flash site, a megabyte from a gigabyte, or ROM from RAM. Thankfully, you don’t need to understand any of this computer jargon to use Congregation Builder's web based event registration software.
Is It Necessary To Use A Standard Event Registration Forms Or Can Is It Possible To Create Individual Web Based Event Registration Software Forms?
The beauty of Congregation Builder's web based event registration software is that you can manipulate it to craft an event registration form that fits your needs. In other words, you can base your event registration form on the questions you need answered by registrants, which are specific to your event.
How Will Registrants Pay For The Event?
Using Congregation Builder's church management software, registrants can pay for the event using PayPal, credit cards, or by check. Of course, if the event is free, then registrants only need to complete the web based event registration software form.
What If The Event Is Limited To A Certain Number Of Attendees?
Congregation Builder's web based event registration software was designed so you can designate a pre-set number of attendees. This church management software will also maintain and track a waiting list in the event a previously registered registrant cannot attend.
Using Congregation Builder's church management software, via its web based event registration software, will make your future events' registration process manageable, easily accessible, and a breeze!
Thankful Thursday
"Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good
His mercy endureth forever"
Today I thank God for keeping us safe during a typhoon that devastated Metro Manila last July 13, we had a power cut-off the whole day, we had no internet and no phone signals too. But still, I say that God is good! he kept us safe and warm and filled even in the midst of the storm. And since work is canceled, we were able to help in the preparation of our mini carnival for the poor kids this Saturday, We did some painting for the game booths.
God is good..ALWAYS!!!!
Join us here for more thankful post.
Will power
I was amazed of how this girl that used to go to our church lost weight. I saw her very recent picture in facebook and my..she looks good and yes definitely slimmer. Things like that motivates me even more to get into some moving and start losing weight again. And I know to lose weight and  rid belly fat you have to do something and you need all the will power and self discipline.
I wish I can have the discipline she had.
If you talk to God today
He will probably remind you
1. QUIT WORRYING:
Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit
and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here
to take all your burdens and carry them for you?
Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little
thing that comes your way?
2. PUT IT ON THE LIST:
Something needs done or taken care of. Put it
on the list. No, not YOUR list. Put it on MY
to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care
of the problem. I can't help you until you turn
it over to Me. And although My to-do-list
is long, I am after all... God. I can take care
of anything you put into My hands. In fact,
if the truth were ever really known, I take
care of a lot of things for you that you never
even realize.
3. TRUST ME:
Once you've given your burdens to Me,
quit trying to take them back. Trust in
Me. Have the faith that I will take care of
all your needs, your problems and your trials.
Problems with the kids? Put them on My list.
Problem with finances? Put it on My list.
Problems with your emotional roller coaster?
For My sake, put it on My list. I want to
help you. All you have to do is ask.
4. LEAVE IT ALONE:
Don't wake up one morning and say,
"Well, I'm feeling much stronger now, I think
I can handle it from here." Why do you think
you are feeling stronger now? It's simple.
You gave Me your burdens and I'm taking
care of them. I also renew your strength
and cover you in my peace. Don't you
know that if I give you these problems back,
you will be right back where you started?
Leave them with Me and forget about
them. Just let Me do my job.
5. TALK TO ME:
I want you to forget a lot of things.
Forget what was making you crazy..
Forget the worry and the fretting because
you know I'm in control.. But there's one
thing I pray you never forget. Please, don't
forget to talk to Me - OFTEN! I love YOU!
I want to hear your voice. I want you to
include Me in on the things going on in your life.
I want to hear you talk about your friends
and family. Prayer is simply you having
a conversation with Me. I want to be your
dearest friend.
6. HAVE FAITH:
I see a lot of things from up here that you
can't see from where you are. Have faith in
Me that I know what I'm doing. Trust Me;
you wouldn't want the view from My eyes.
I will continue to care for you, watch over you,
and meet your needs. You only have to trust Me.
Although I have a much bigger task than you,
it seems as if you have so much trouble just
doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?
7. SHARE:
You were taught to share when you were
only two years old. When did you forget?
That rule still applies. Share with those who are
less fortunate than you.. Share your joy with
those who need encouragement. Share your
laughter with those who haven't heard any in
such a long time. Share your tears with those
who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith
with those who have none.
8. BE PATIENT:
I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime
you could have so many diverse experiences.
You grow from a child to an adult, have children,
change jobs many times, learn many trades,
travel to so many places, meet thousands
of people, and experience so much. How can
you be so impatient then when it takes Me
a little longer than you expect to handle
something on My to-do-list? Trust in My
timing, for My timing is perfect. Just
because I created the entire universe in
only six days, everyone thinks I should
always rush, rush, rush.
9. BE KIND:
Be kind to others, for I love them just
as much as I love you. They may not dress
like you, or talk like you, or live the same way
you do, but I still love you all. Please try
to get along, for My sake.. I created each
of you different in some way. It would be
too boring if you were all identical.
Please, know I love each of your differences.
10. LOVE YOURSELF:
As much as I love you, how can you not
love yourself? You were created by me for
one reason only -- to be loved, and to love
in return. I am a God of Love. Love Me.
Love your neighbors. But also love yourself.
It makes My heart ache when I see you
so angry with yourself when things go
wrong. You are very precious to me.
Don't ever forget......
You are loved. Touch someone with your love.
Rather than focus upon the thorns of life,
smell the roses and count your blessings!
Have a wonderful blessed day !!!
Credit Card Fraud
I know most of the people now carries credit card instead of cash especially in the western world so credit card fraud is rampant. I remember one credit card company calling our office and canceling my boss' credit card because it has been used to an establishment that has been reported for credit card frauds. It's hard when it happens because calling and arguing with credit card company, proving them that you were a victim is a major headache so be careful and be very vigilant whenever you use your cc's or you can have a rfid blocking wallet for you to make sure it is safe. It's like the chip blocks the info so no one can steal it when they swipe your card.
nevertheless, here are some tips for the safe use of credit cards.
1. make sure you keep an eye on it every time you use it.
2. Do not just give your credit card info to anyone who asks, make sure you know the company or the person you are talking to (if over the phone) if in the internet, make sure they are reliable and secured.
3. Sign your credit card as soon as you receive them. IT is very very important.
4. Keep you credit card on a secure place, don't leave them anywhere. And make sure it's only you who knows the details specially the last 3 digit at the back. I tell you once they know it, they can use it to purchase over the net.
Hope this helps.
Thankful Thursday-Missionaries
Lynn of Spiritually Unequal marriage is hosting this month so please share with us your thankful post and visit us there :)
For this week I am thankful for the many missionaries out there, for people who leaves the comfort of their homes and share God's love to people. It's not easy, leaving your family, leaving home and friends but they've given up everything in obedience to God's calling.
I am specifically thankful for our short term missionary friends that are vising form England this month. They will be helping us in our ministries here. I am also thankful for their safety trip. We are looking forward to one fruitful month with them!! I hope they won't mind the heat in Manila and that they won't be looking for acne solutions because of that heat. Whatever, I know they will enjoy serving God here.
Happy Thankful Thursday everyone!
It has began
The busy days started yesterday.
We picked up my 2 nephews from the airport,  and though they were'nt  settled yet at the house, I have to leave them because I know I have to go to office. After office, I had to attend/conduct a short meeting for the upcoming event for our kids ministry. I guess I will have no more time to facebook, to twitter and more so no more time reading about curvatrim review .
Today the husband will bring them to school and later in the afternoon, he will picked up Maria, a missionary from England. She will be staying and helping with our ministry for one month.
I hope I can continue to post some quick updates here everyday specially wth what's going on with our ministry. Be safe everyone!! Blessings!!
If only
I can lose weight fast by being busy with all the loads I have in my shoulder, I would probably lose a lot this July.
2 nieces from Singapore will be staying with me for their studies
4 missionaries from England
1 missionary friend from Malaysia
1 full time office job
1 housewife duties
plus obligations and responsibilities to our ministries. Bear with me if I don't update as often as I used to be. But will try to post one from time to time so you would know I am still alive and kicking.
And don't get me wrong, I am not by any means complaining, as a matter of fact I welcomed JULY with arms wide open.
weekend and challenge coins
It is weekend once again, and for my friends and fellow bloggers living in the United States, it is going to be a long weekend because they will be celebrating Independence Day. However, for us it is only an ordinary weekend. But I am so looking forward to it also like I always do.
I hope to accomplish a lot this weekend. Well, not as much as compare to doing a challenge coins because I can not. However, if ever I am to use it as a fund raiser or promotion to our new business, I know where to go to. In coinable .com you can create your own custom challenge coins or if you do not have deign in mind, they have graphic artist and they’ll help you create your own design,
I don’t think every challenge coins manufacturers can do that or offers that kind of service. Oh and they can even create coins in different shapes and size. How cool is that?
But back to my weekend, we will be doing the flyers for the food business and hopefully have them printed and ready for distribution next week. I will focus on marketing this food bowl because without market we cannot sell.
So, even if it’s not special weekend for us I will still be quite busy.
For those going on a holiday, enjoy your weekend and have lots of fun!!
