Let not anger control you

"Your face gets flushed, your blood begins to get hot, and your head begins to throb. These are physical signs that anger is beginning to control you in the moment. when our anger gets out of control there is never a good result. In such situations, the smartest thing to do is to remain silent and take some time to think overnight. In the morning, after time has passed, it's easier to respond with a calmer stance."

God bless everyone!

Dinner/Concert for a Cause

Last Summer on our youth mission camp, we gave school supplies to those who were affected by Typhoon Sendong in Davao (Compostela valley and New Bataan in particular)  you can see the pictures HERE.

This time, we are giving school supplies to the victims of  Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan.

Part of the proceeds of this dinner for a cause will go for that ministry, why part? because this fundraising event was originally for our scholarship program but we agreed to share it to our people in Leyte and Tacloban.

It is just a simple dinner with music and some interpretative dance (no hercules dj or famous artist to perform) but I am sure it will be one good night.

Please do come and help if you want to share your Christmas blessings to us. Imagine what your 500.00 can buy, most probably like 12 notebooks, pencil, crayon, pad papers, ballpens and a lot more.

Thank you everyone and God bless!!

Thank God it's Friday

Just got home from MOA (Mall of Asia)-the biggest mall here, but to tell you honestly, I don't enjoy going there because it is so huge I am always at a lost. But except when you are meeting good friends and a cute energetic goddaughter. You go brave the traffic for that. Worth it.

Thank God it's Friday and that there is no work tomorrow.

We leisurely ate dinner while having a good chat. I know my husband is wishing if he can drop by a music store so he can check some stuff like classic db25 to xlr but unfortunately we didn't notice that it was already closing time. But still, it was a good night, good time spent with friends.

Matthew 25:29

"Are you spending each day utilizing your God given talents? If not, think about doing things that take advantage of your special talents and then put a lot of muscle behind it. When we make wise choices and use our talents to the fullest extent, success follows".

7 years 7 months

MARRIED to the man God has specifically chosen for me :)

It was not an all smooth easy marriage, like everyone else, we have some serious fights also, arguments from time to time but I think that makes our marriage even more stronger.

But I know also that I am super blessed with Rudolf. His love is very assuring and I have never felt so loved before. There are times I think I am not reciprocating the same love he is giving me eh because his love is so selfless, so forgiving, so humble, so kind. I don't think I am like that.

I am trying my best though to be a very good, supportive and loving wife to him, cheering him on when he is in despair, assuring him when he is in doubt, but still I cannot compare that to the many things he is doing for me.

And I thank the Lord so much for blessing me, for giving me that kind of gift.  I hope we will have more 7 years and 7 months to celebrate.

Now only if I can give him this portable DJ mixer, this traktor z1 at musicians friend, I'm sure that would compensate for my being selfish a lot of times :) You know how anything with his music and recording makes him happy. And I fervently pray that they will finish the album soon because that would really make him happy.

7 years 7 months. Thank you Lord.

Rebuilding

Here comes another week. But I know very well that this is not just another week for those who are devastated by typhoon Yolanda.

For them, this is a new day, new beginning, Today maybe the first day of rebuilding their lives, some chose to rebuild in their own town, some chose to rebuild somewhere else.

And if there is something good I am seeing amidst this catastrophe is that “almost every Filipino is helping” young and old, even those who don’t live a comfortable life, we are all helping in our own little way. I love that Filipino spirit.

I pray people from Visayas region will be able to rebuild fast. I pray someday soon the place will be filled with people doing business, children going to school, I hope we can hear them laughing, singing again or maybe even looking for best vandoren reeds tenor sax and playing. I know that is gonna happen.

The rainbow that the people saw in that very place last week  is another assurance of God's love for them, that there will be joy again in that place. I am positive with that.

But please keep on praying for the Philippines. We need that.
