Fishnets Ministry to Compostela Valley

As part of our youth mission camp, our young people from Metro Manila visited areas in Compostela Valley that was greatly affected by typhoon Pablo last December. Five months after the disaster, you can still feel the anguish, BUT they are rising up, slowly they try to live a normal life.

list of names of the victims, some of the bodies were found but most of them they didn't.

underneath this is a community now covered by stones, the land which was used for a living is now desolate.

A new church building being built, larger that the one that was destroyed by the typhoon. Meaning more people after the disaster are coming back to Christ, their faith renewed and is even stronger. Rise up New Bataan!!!

we distributed school supplies, thank you for those who responded to our call for support. How I wish we could give more but there is still next time.

God bless all these kids. I pray and hope that someday I'll see you all again!!

Cramming time

"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go"

I wish I could sing that song right now, but reality is, we're leaving home tomorrow at 10 in the morning and I'm still here at the office, going to church later to finish more stuff for the mission camp and no single shirt has been pack yet. I'm actually feeling that my husband  and I  will be awake the whole night for us to finish everything.

And I still have to buy some things for us, I need slippers, I wish I can   buy Oboz boots for hiking but our current finances won't let me so I'll settle for good slippers/flipflops instead.

In the midst of this rushing and cramming, sometimes I tend to get too worried and in the process lose the joy of doing ministry but thank God I am reminded. See my previous picture post?

I turn all my cares into prayers together with praises and thanksgiving and I know I can do this. :)

Back me up with your prayers too please.

God bless you!!

Do not worry

that's effective. always.

Busy as a bee

Hello everyone.

It's been a while since I last posted here, life is quite busy, Our youth mission camp is happening on the 22nd of April, we are flying to Davao on the 20th as we are going to be the advance party. I'm rushing a lot of things before we leave, printing programs, certificates, Id's and many more camp stuff.  Plus, work is crazy and I have to settle a lot of things because I'll be out of the office for one whole week ( I can imagine how sad my boss is) but Praise God, he gave his permission and said yes to my leave. In top of that, we have with us two nephews spending thier summer vacation, so yes, I have no more extra time in my hands, Rudolf my husband is as busy as I am too.
We are excited about this first ever youth mission camp and I know that God is goin to do something BIG and GREAT to all of us there.

Please include us in your prayers, as of today we have an estimate of 200 young people (excluding the camp staff, officers and speakers) so more or less 250 people.

It's big work but I trust my BIG GOD.

And I believe my husband and I deserve a break after this. or a gift for our selves, david king briefcase and a brand new wallet for me :)

Anyways, please please remember the "mission camp" in your prayers. Thanks everyone and God bless!!

The Impossible Is Possible

Written by Harold Herring

10.  God does not change His mind. . .there is no expiration date on His promises.
  9.  “Do just once what others say you can’t do and you will never pay attention to their limitations again.” John Mason from my book “Great Minds At Work.”
  8.  You have been enabled, empowered and energized by the greatest force in the universe to achieve what others may think impossible…but not you.
  7.  The enemy will do everything possible to discourage and dishearten you...from achieving what God wants to do in and through you…beginning today.
  6.  TNT can have explosive results in your life when you do things Today Not Tomorrow (TNT).

  5.  Your response to adversity is directly proportional to the amount of time you spend in the Word.
  4.  If you don’t like the way your world is at the moment, change it. God has given you the ability to change your direction and your destiny.
  3.  God's got your every step you take (Deuteronomy 31:8)...He's watching over you (Psalm 32:8).  Don't allow the enemy to make you think otherwise.
  2.  Excuses about why you can't do something...won't impress God or anybody else for that matter.

  1.  If you’re afraid of what’s going to happen. . .you’re not listening to the One who makes things happen.
