Model house/White bathroom

Yesterday, we went to visit the village that sells lot only in Cavite. I started praying for this since I first saw it last year but I was hesitant to acquire one especially in Cavite but I finally gave in and said that yes, this is it!

Our eyes feasted on the beautiful model houses we checked. Even the bare unit is so nice, with built in cabinets, granite top and pretty floor tiles.

I love this dress up unit with three bathrooms and sad that we can’t afford this.

Here’s the master’s bedroom and the bath in elegant white! I asked the husband to take pictures because it can be our bathroom inspiration someday when it is our time to build our house. I so love white bathroom vanity because it looks so clean.

Minsitry Update

Hello everyone! I know it's been a while since I last wrote a ministry update here, I am sorry because first and foremost this is our ministry blog and I know some (maybe one or two) friends abroad are reading this blog to get some updates from us here in the Philippines.

I took a rest from all the ministries for a while when my father died. Grief caught me off guard but praise God for HE is providing  comfort everyday and that is what keeps me going.

SCHOLARSHIP MINISTRY

It's a big school year for this ministry because we have taken a big step even if the funds are low. I firmly believe that God will provide for all the needs of our scholars. This year, we have 5 COLLEGE SCHOLARS- (2 in government/public schools and 3 in Private schools) our biggest number of college scholars so far and 1 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT. It is quite expensive to send one student to college even if it is a public school because of the many expenses and fees but as I have said I know God will provide.

We need at least $250.00 a month to be able to support all the tuition fees and allowances of these students. If you want to take part of this ministry, for financial support you may contact International Teams Philippines below

We can't do this ministry alone and we need as many partners as we can, be our partner thru prayers too.

WORSHIP MINISTRY/ SELAH BAND

The album recording is still on going, sometimes it frustrates my husband because of the conflict of schedules of each band member but he kows he can't do anything with it because they have their own individual ministry too, but still, we are thankful that despite of the many hindrances it is still on going and they are down to one last song for the instruments and then all the vocals soon.

We are praying for the worship album to be available right in time for the Global Intercessors Prayer Conference in Thailand this November 7-9, and if the band will be able to raise a fund for their tickets, they will be there to lead the worship for the 3 day conference and of course to promote the worship album too.

~*~

Rudolf has been preaching too ( few times in our outreaches to which I always get nervous) I am much confident when he leads the worship but praise God for this new opportunity to serve HIM.

Please keep us in your prayers, we need it everyday. And if you have prayer request too, we can also pray for you, just let me know, you can email me at raquel.abadiano@gmail.com.

Thank you for reading this far and may God richly bless you!!!

The 5 Keys to Wealth and Happiness

Got this in my email few days ago..and I know it's worth sharing :)

The 5 Keys to Wealth and Happiness
By : Toni Robbins

We all have the ability to take absolute charge of our lives—but having the ability isn’t the same as using it.
Life is full of pitfalls that prevent us from maximizing our full potential. The 5 Keys to Wealth and Happiness is your map to where some of these pitfalls are, and your guide to overcoming them. If you master these keys, there’s no limit to what you can do!

Key #1: You must learn how to handle frustration.

Frustration can kill dreams. It can change a positive attitude into a negative one, an empowering state into a crippling one. Look at almost any great success, and you’ll find there’s been massive frustration along the way. All successful people know to plow through roadblocks, using each setback as a learning experience.

Key #2: You must learn how to handle rejection.

Is there anything in the human language that stings more than “no?” How often have you decided not to try for a position at your company, make a sales call, or take an audition because you didn’t want to be rejected? There are no real successes without rejection. The more rejection you get, the better you are, the more you’ve learned, and the closer you are to your outcome.

Key #3: You must learn to handle financial pressure.

Handling financial pressure is about knowing how to get and how to give, knowing how to earn and how to save. Money is like anything else in life; you can make it work for you, or against you. Learn to deal with financial pressure with the same purpose and elegance as other things in your life, so money is no longer a source of unhappiness or compromised ideals.

Key #4: You must learn to handle complacency.

“It’s not the events of your life that determine how you feel and act, but rather the way you interpret and evaluate those experiences.”
– Anthony Robbins
We’ve all seen people—celebrities, athletes, business owners, etc.—who reach a level of success and then stop. Comfort can be a disastrous emotion because when we get too comfortable, we stop growing, creating, sharing and adding value. The key to managing complacency is to stay focused on your vision and make sure you don’t “major in minor things.”

Key #5: Always give more than you expect to receive.

This is the most important key because it virtually guarantees true happiness. Most people spend their time thinking about how they can receive. Our lives change the moment we change our focus from what we can get to what we can give. The key to any relationship is you have to give first and then keep on giving. Don’t stop and wait to receive!

In all you do (Proverbs 3:6)

seek Gods will

Usually we reserve the big decisions for God to throw in His two cents, such as job options, marriage partner and moving possibilities. Yet, we are quick to make "smaller" decisions without giving any thought to God's will.where we spend our time, who to spend it with, and the words we say are decisions we make daily, but don't think twice about inviting God into the process. It's quite possibly these smaller decisions which make a greater impact on our lives when we ask God to show us His will. The next time you make a decision, invite God.

~*~

Got that devotional on my cellphone last week and it spoke to my heart. I'm guilty and I'm ashamed of how I unconsciously leave God for the smaller decisions I make everyday and consult Him (also read as pray and wait) only for bigger ones like now that we are again making a big decision in our married life. I thank the Lord for reminding me that big or not, we should always ALWAYS seek His will, even if it sound so "non-sense" for us, like choosing the place to eat, or shall I buy that shoes or not?" it's petty but that we should always do di ba? If God is the KING and sits in the throne of our life, it is but proper to ask HIM in every aspect of our life.

Thankful Thursday

It's been a while since my last Thankful Thursday post. Glad I'm able to participate today. So..what am I thankful for this week? well, life has been hard for the past months since my father passed away but I am so thankful that we are moving on. It is still painful remembering him and the times when he was still with us but then again I am reminded that it is not really goodbye for us but someday soon we'll see each other again.

I also want to thank God for my mother's health-she's been through a lot since my father got sick last year, now we are able to focus on her. We went to an eye doctor and have her eyes checked because she's been complaining about her irritated eyes, thankful that God provided again for her medicines and all.

I am also thankful for our new TV- I only prayed for atleast  a working TV where I can watch news but God gave us more than that. Big. Brand new. LCD. Thank you Lord!!

What are you thankful for this week? share it with us at Laurie's blog and I'm sure someone out there might be encouraged by your thankful post.

Blessings everyone!!!

Never pay back evil with more evil

Sharing the devotional text I received this morning;

~*~*~*~*
 Romans 12:17
New Living Translation (NLT)

"Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable"

It happens fairly often, someone will be inconsiderate or mistreat you. In that split moment you have  one of two options. You can choose to return evil or you c an be honorable. Your response is a reflection of how you view God. If you think God will stand by and let this go unnoticed, you will respond with evil. Or if you believe God's righteous anger will pay them back, you will respond honorably and leave the rest up to God. How will you choose to respond in the moment you face mistreatment?
  ~*~*~*~*

I know easier said than done, just last month, my mom was mistreated (physically and emotionally) and we were badly hurt as we are still grieving from the loss of my father, my first instinct was to go and  repay what I think they deserve, because at that moment, I was angry and is really mad. the same with my only brother, we even have to hide all the knives, safety cutters and sharp objects in the house because we were afraid he might do something really bad because we were that hurt.

Good thing though, I held my tongue and just cried and cried to the Lord. Now, they already asked forgiveness from my mom and we've forgiven them and is in the process of forgetting what have happened. After all, God s aid we should forgive seventy times seven times right?

Do you feel you are being mistreated? don't worry, our God is a just God and I'm sure He knows what you are going through, just keep on honoring Him and He will do what is right.

Have a blessed morning everyone!
