Trusting HIM

46 days to go before the mission camp.

We now have plane tickets going to Davao but we don't have a return ticket yet and the airline promo of low fare is now gone. Sometimes I worry of all the expenses we will incur for this local mission trip even though I know that God will provide for us like He always did in all our mission trips.

I have to remind myself everyday that God is going to take care of everything.

He is in control and He is in-charge of the whole mission camp. Even the funds for the school supplies that we are going to give to kids in calamity affected areas, I'm sure He will provide for that.

I just have to TRUST HIM completely. Like how I trusted HIM in everything in our lives.

I remember this very feeling when we are about to get married but God took care of every details during the wedding, the caterer, wedding ring sets, the venue, as in God provided for everything.

I also remember our month long mission trip in Sabah, Malaysia. Our needs are met while in the mission trip.

What we did is just trust HIM completely and not doubt. And that is what I am going to do for this mission camp. TRUST the LORD and I will feel fine.

Ministry in Samar?

So it is true, if you love what you do, you’ll find ways to do it even in times that you don’t have to do it. When we went for a vacation last week, we didn’t go to church on Sunday because there is no Christian (full-gospel) church around (which is sad). What we did, we gathered all the kids from the neighborhood, which are mostly sons and daughters of husband’s cousins. We did what we usually do on weekends. Feeding and teaching children. The husband and his brother taught them songs and told the story about David and Goliath.

While me and my brother in law’s girlfriend cooked and served them the food. What else will I cook? Noodle Soup (Sopas) it is. That’s the only feeding food I know how to prepare.

Anyways, the kids enjoyed it. I guess they enjoyed us being there also, especially when the husband let them play with the PSP, kids here don’t see those kind of gadgets everyday, a s I have said, most of the house don’t have a TV or a radio so how would they even know about such Bluetooth headset or an X-box? 

But guess what? Aside from the trees to climb, they have this very clean and peaceful river everyday for them to swim their heart out!

We will definitely miss all of them!

We are back!

We were out of town for three days and we got back yesterday afternoon but I only had the time to post now. We went to Bataan for ministry and recreation as well with our four friends from UK and Holland. We absolutely loved the place. It was a four hour drive from Manila but it's worth it. Here's a view from the rooftop of the house we stayed in.

It is so quiet and peaceful, I actually loved having no internet for a time although there was a Samsung HDTV there is no cable as well so you really have not much distraction from the peacefulness of the place.

Future Plans

It's the 12th month of the year, it's usually the month where organizations and businesses make plan for the next year.

And me and Rudolf are doing the same, God has been leading us to new directions that started this year, this year was great for both of us and we can't wait for the next year to come.

Greater things are yet to come, my dear husband often tell me that and I believed it in my heart.

Major changes are coming our way next year, as early as now we are discussing his going back to Malaysia for one month and this time I will make sure I'll be with him. Then I am also considering and praying that from there we will go to Singapore , visit Pastor Joseph and stay in my cousins place and see if God has something to do for us there. I'm seeing a lot of travel for next year especially when I am already resigned from my day job, we have to prepare for this and get ready, not only spiritually but emotionally and physically as well, we don't want to get sick while traveling. We can't afford to get medical travel insurance so prevention is best for us.

Did I mention I am planning of quitting my day job? yes, and it is a tough decision to make but I know God's plan is always better than mine.

Christmas vacation

Anyone planning there Christmas vacation now? Guess what? Christmas is my favorite time of the year because it's the longest break i get from work and from ministry, both me and dear husband gets to spend more time with family and time for ourselves. Last year was a very memorable one, we spend our new year in a secluded island with only tent as our home for three days. We went to Anawangin with our 2 couple missionary friends and we were really rested, recharged and we enjoyed it. I'm sure all of you workers for the Lord know what I mean..right? sometimes we need to take time off the ministry and all and just relax and have fun.

This year, we will have another great vacation, and nope we are not going abroad to got to the famous and super nice orlando vacations but that can wait..maybe on the future. But this year, we are going to spend our new year in Palawan, it will be our first time there so hubby and I are both excited. Undergound river, City tour, and all the seafoods!! I can't wait really.

Thankful Thursday

This week I am so thankful the Lord has given me enough rest, last Friday we went to Cebu (South part of the Philippines) and celebrated hubby's birthday there, it was his first time there so he's pretty much excited. We stayed there for 3 days and though the hotel we stayed in was not as grand as those of Myrtle beach hotel, we are still thankful we have been given time and money for this vacation. Cebu Buildings

We're back from Cebu, renewed and rested. I'll be posting some our pictures soon but let me give you a glimpse of what Cebu looks like. The Cebu sans the tourist spots.

Here are random pictures of Cebu buildings, some of it were taken as we are cruising inside a cab, and most of the pictures were taken by my dearest husband. There is a beautiful one which looks like some kind of steel buildings at the reclamation area which unfortunately we forgot to take picture. It is I believe the Cebu International Convention Center, for Cebuanos reading my blog please correct me if I’m wrong.
