New worship place

Finally, our Pastor was able to talk to the Barangay Captain and got her approval for the use of the function room of the Barangay Hall for our Sunday Worship. Praise God!!

It is still not permanent and we will still be paying a thousand peso per use but it is much comfortable compared to where we are doing our Sunday worship now.

And oh, the first time we will use it is on September 30 and my husband will be the preacher on that Sunday. His first time ever to preach in a Sunday worship. To say that I am nervous is an understatement. I don't know how I am going to sit still and listen to him on that day.

So please please, pray for my husband, for wisdom, for anointing and for him to listen to God's voice and say whatever is it that God want's the people to hear.

But overall, I am excited for the new worship place and for all the new things to come!!

Sunday Worship

How's your Sunday everyone? Did you go to church? Did you have a celebration of praise with your church family? I hope you all did because...well,

ONE WEEK WITHOUT CHURCH/CHRIST MAKES ONE WEAK

And I'm sure we all need strength for the coming week. We do not know what we are going to face/battle and we can only be certain of our victory if we are strengthened, if we are recharged, if we get refilled of the energies we used for the past week right?

That's why, having fellowship with fellow believers, worshiping with your spiritual family is important. Somehow, we drew strength from that.

This Sunday morning I was not in the worship team but nonetheless, I had a wonderful worship experience down the stage. Jumping and shouting (now that's some calories off too-no need to take the best weight loss pills right?)

Anyways, I had a wonderful weekend, Saturday was spent with  movie marathon time with friends and  a wonderful worship for Sunday .

I can very well say ----I'm recharge for the week :)

Great Sunday

We were in another church yesterday and I know me and Rudolf both missed the regular Sunday worship we've been used to but attending in another church as a plain attendee is a breather and even if we did come late we were still blessed.

It was a small church compared to our church and the preacher is a youth pastor which I think is younger than my husband and I guess would explain why attendees are more of young people than adults.

He spoke of a very simple yet powerful message. "Are we truly born-again?"

Sometimes we needed to hear the simplest word, the simplest question and that would be enough to get us back to our feet.

And as I checked against my self I know I still fail many times in many aspects. But the good thing is rising up in every failure. Right?

We had a great Sunday yesterday, we spent the whole day with the whole family and it was one of the best weekend I had this year so far. For once I had a relaxed mind not thinking of anything except for nursing uniforms which is minimal :) I was indeed blessed!

How's your Sunday? have you been to any church? Were you blessed?

GOD IS FAITHFUL

"God is Faithful"

This was the preachers' topic this morning. And you may say that "oh yeah..it is usually a common topic among preachers just like how common we talked about weight-loss products" but I tell you it is entirely different when you hear it from someone who had to give up a good, decent and stable life just to follow the Lord.

Our speaker this morning is one of the first missionaries our church have sent to foreign missions. He was a Doctor and he earns a lot here during that time but when he obeyed, he gave it all up and followed the Lord in a foreign land where he didn't know anyone, a place where he did not know if he can still provide well for his family. But God honored his decision and HE is indeed faithful.

Somehow I feel it is hard to obey God when you have to give up something big in your life like career but God is bigger than anything in this world right?

I think God has been talking to me through out the whole service and I pray that I will get to listen to His voice, obey Him and choose Him for He is faithful.

Good night everyone!

I was supposed to upload the hygiene pictures today but our internet connection is acting up. It is a lot slower than usual and opening a website takes longer than it normally does. I didn’t dare tried uploading at facebook because I know I won’t finish it. Hopefully I’ll get it done by tomorrow. For the mean time I am gonna rest now because I’ve been working since morning and tomorrow is Sunday. I have to remind my self again that Sunday Worship begins Saturday night. So off to bed  I’ll go now folks but not right after reading about this cheap insurance quotes.

Hope you all go to church tomorrow and enjoy worshiping the Lord with your church family, but in case you can't, enjoy GOD's presence whatever you will be doing.
God bless!!

Preparing for Sunday morning service

I read a good article/devotional yesterday. And because I read it while I am in the office, I printed it out and shared it to dear husband last night. I just feel it's very timely for us and I know we need it.

The article talks about preparing for Sunday morning service. You see, I have this very bad habit of staying up late during weekends and so most of the time I am having hard time waking up early for Sunday Service, though I am very very seldom late for the worship service proper, I am always late for the prayer and pre-worship before the service. I feel bad because our Pastor asked or rather required us to be there because we are part of the music team.

Now, on that article the author said on Item number

5: Rest long enough Saturday night to be alert and hopeful Sunday morning.

Not that I do not know it but I admit I often take it for granted, I think that Sunday worship begins Sunday morning but nope I was wrong, it should start Saturday night. The author also said that " without sufficient sleep, our minds are dull, our emotions are flat, our proneness to depression is higher, and our fuses are short.

Now, the husband and I made resolutions that we will never sleep late again on Saturday night except for unavoidable circumstances but for now, no more movies, no more internet surfing, no more facebook on Saturday evening, instead we will just meditate on God's word and pray and maybe put on some night cream and sleep.

If you want to read the whole article, you can find it here.
