If we put our trust in God, there is nothing we should worry about :) Everything is taken care of because God is in control.

Thanksgiving & Christmas Party

We had lot's of fun yesterday at the church. It was our Thanksgiving and Christmas Party at the same time. We have so much to be thankful for even so as a church. God has been faithful to us ever since the day we started on our own. God has blessed us with a nice worship place although it's temporary but still we are thankful for that.

Recently, He has provided for us a prayer venue- air conditioned prayer room and best of all, it's free! Every Saturday morning we do our intercessory prayer there. God met all our needs as a church, the rental, the allowances for our workers and Pastors, the bills and all our ministry needs. GOD IS SO GOOD!

some pics are blurred..sorry but I will upload more later :)

Thank you Lord for everything that you have given to us. Thank you for every testing too because we know you are just purifying each and everyone of us. Thank you for all the blessings big and small. Thank you for our relationships, for our families and friends. Thank you for the nice weather (perfect) not too cold so no need for heated mattress pad but not too warm either :)

Thank you for  giving us your Son Jesus Christ, the reason why we have Christmas.

Psalm 13

I am on Psalm 13 today and I love the image below because it gave me clearer picture of the whole passage. I admit, sometimes I stay longer on the "lament" part which should not be because our God is our refuge. we should trust HIM and His unfailing love for us :)

Honor his wishes

Have you read "25 Ways to Communicate Respect to your Husband (without uttering a word). Written by Jennifer Flanders. You can read the whole article here.

Number 2 on the list is  "Honor His Wishes" - Give weight to what your husband thinks is important. Make those things a priority that matter most to him, whether it’s having dinner ready when he gets home from work or keeping the house tidy or limiting computer time. Don’t make him ask twice.

And she quoted Philippians 2:4- "not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."

So I'm practicing that right now :) I'm giving in to my husband's wish this Christmas because I know how important it is for him and how he looked forward to December to have it finally. He is buying and Ipad 2, although it is second hand, it is still pricey. I kept telling him, we don't need it, he don't need it but he defended himself and and now I am convinced that the purpose of this Ipad is to be used as his guitar effects, at least  I know he can really use it because he showed me how. I don't want to buy anything I have no idea where and how to use it for like this chauvet motion façade led which I learned is for mobile performers?

When I finally said yes, he was so happy and probably fell in love with me again :D
Anyways, I am  also happy because I know I can play with this new gadget  also *wink*.

Top 10 - What Worry Can and Can't Do For You

 Written by Harold Herring

10. Worry never righted a wrong, dried a tear or lifted a burden but it has slain thousands. The cure for worry is a heart of faith.

9. Never allow the events of your past to dictate the possibilities of your future.

8. Poverty steals more than your money…it robs you of your dreams, your future, your hope and your ability to bless those you love..

7. The only person who can stop you from being…what God created you to be…is you. Don’t.

6. When God gives you a vision it’s not for you as you are…but as He knows you can be. Begin to see yourself…the way He sees you.

5. Do NOT fear what God says you can OVERCOME.

4. Your salary is not your source but a seed for changing your destiny.

3. Dress to impress and I’m not just talking about your clothes. Dress your mind each day…think carefully about what you are putting in it.

2. Money you sow into the Kingdom of God may leave your bank account…but it never leaves your life. See Galatians 6:7

1. Be the one who initiates change…even while others hesitate

Like David's heart

Rudolf leading in one of our worship service

This is my constant prayer for my husband ever since I met him. That he will have a heart like David- known to be a man after God's own heart. Devoted to HIS word and is delighted to meditate on it day and night.

That he will love the Lord more than anyone and anything else in this world. That he will be a true worshiper of one true God.

And that if ever he falls short or if he sin he will have immediate and profound conviction and do what David did in Psalm 51.

"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me"

I pray that he will forever use his God given talents to serve HIM and his people.  I know his love for music is founded with his love for God-the very reason why he sings and why he writes songs.

I'm just one proud wife. I wish I can gift him this great shure sm7b at musicians friend, for sure he'll appreciate it very very much.

But knowing him, with or without such music equipment, he will just keep singing to the Lord.

Thankful Monday : Provision

Lately, we've incurred unexpected expenses again that brought me back to worrying about money. And again, I had that feeling that our salaries are just not enough for all of our needs (our needs also means support to our parents) which makes me sad for a time. But God gently reminded me that HE IS OUR PROVIDER and that verse I read this morning is his way of assuring me that whatever I ask (or I need) if it is according to His will, He will provide and that He will supply for every need.

God has always been our provider-our Jehovah Jireh and there was never a time that a need was not met in our life. I've been challenged financially this year due to my father's illness and eventually his death and now my mother's hospitalization but HE provided for everything.

He even provided for our down payment and monthly payment for our lot in Cavite, even blessed us more so we can have that relaxation in Baguio last July. A lot of little things he is providing for us which I tend to take for granted (I'm so sorry Lord) like we were still able to donate for typhoon victims, eat out sometimes with friends. And I'm sure if ever we need supply of u-bolts, he will still provide for that because HE is our provider of everything- as in EVERYTHING, not just financially but all that we need.

Through the years, God has been so faithful to us. True to His word and promises. And for that I will always be grateful.
