Random thoughts

We went home to province last Sunday, it's my mom's 70th birthday celebration :) It was nothing grand but you can see how happy she was, she prepared snacks for the church people as she always did on her birthdays.

So we attended church service there and it's great! I can say it's a breather, a rest from what you have accustomed to. The Pastor is our cousin and we were blessed. he talked about Psalm 103: 1-5

1 Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2 Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-

3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,

4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,

5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

he taught 5 things

1. GOD FORGIVES

2. GOD HEALS

3. GOD REDEEMS

4. GOD CROWNS

5. GOD SATISFIES

Can't thank the Lord enough for HIS goodness :)

On another note, old acquaintance from there notice how I gained weight of course and everyone didn't forget to ask me if we already have a child (that's the "ouch" part) but we just smiled and said we were still praying.

I just hope I really be serious and committed in losing weight, actually, 2 of y friends who wanted to lose weight also have scheduled an "exercise day" for us. Wednesday and Friday night. I am thinking of making an online journal about it to encourage myself to really lose weight and be accountable to readers who will read it. I'll probably write about food I eat, my weight progress, our work ups, our chats, diets, and maybe even write about running machines, bikes, dip bar and body press.

I actually started it by cutting off coffee and I did it for 5 straight days :) but sad that I had a relapse tonight. I beg hubby just for a cup. I said give me a break! it's been 5 days..lol :)

Anyways, I've been blabbing so much here. Will have to hit the sack now..I still have work tomorrow er..later.

GOD BLESS YOU EVERYONE!

Running for a cause

I was astounded when I actually read that over 93% of fat burners don’t work. I wonder if the one I used to take years ago was one of those 93%. No question why doctors don’t really prescribe them especially Obstetricians. Of course, the best way to lose weight and burn belly fat would still be exercise and proper diet.

I have taken so many diet pills before and the end result is always me gaining morĂ© weight. It’s like you will lose some and then when you stopped taking the pills you will gain even more. I don’t know I might have chosen the wrong ones so please my dear readers if you want to take some fat burners or diet pills make sure it’s real, natural and that it works.

Anyhow, I have good news though, my friend and I are running for a cause next week. We are joining an event that will raise some funds for cancer patient and will also raise some awareness for cancer. And I am hoping that would be the start of me getting into regular running or walking again.

The Wii sport and my lazy weekend

Contrary to what I had plan for our long weekend. See my old post below. I didn’t go anywhere but stayed home for the last three days. And I admit it feels great!! It’s very seldom that you can see me laze around the house because I am usually occupied with work and ministries and a lot more things to do.

I did not go to the ministry site last Saturday so obviously I did not teach also. I did not join the rest of our church mates either to cheer our basketball team last Friday which wasn’t really in my schedule. I did not attend the worship team practice which means I did not sing also in the worship service last Sunday.

So I really had my rest time, lazy time actually. All I did was played games in the computer, watched several movies and no I did not pick a book to read. If I am not doing anything I am thinking of a lot of things, planning, meditating, praying silently.

So I’m guessing I put up a lot of unneeded weight for that three day holiday.

Oh well, I actually did a bit of exercise, like a 30 – 45 minute play time with the Wii sports in our friends house. That was great!! Hubby loved the boxing and ended up with sore muscles the morning after. If I have that gadget I’m sure I won’t need the best diet pills anymore.

I asked how much the Wii sport is and they said in the US it is like $200 and here probably that would cost less than $400. Not cheap so I’ll just go to my friends house and play there once a week if it’s possible.

Overweight and the Bible.

Yes, sad but oh so true. I'm overweight. I think I had been for the last 5 years. I lost weight when I was about to get married but gained all that weight double 3 years after the wedding.

Now that I am trying to conceive, I know that I have to lose weight. So how do I motivate my self? I guess there is no better way than to go with what the bible says about it. Here is an article I found over the internet which I think is very helpful. I am going to print it and pray that I will do what it recommends.

I don't want to try any weight loss supplement available over the drug counter anymore because as per my OB's advice it might not help me in conceiving.

Things I must do on a regular basis are;

1. WALK for at least 30 to 45 minutes-thrice a week.
2. LIMIT my food intake specially rice as it is very very rich in carbohydrates.

I'm keeping the faith but I know I have to work on it.
