Do you understand?

Many times you wish things are easy no? Often times we wish, we could understand things quick and easy but so we could handle them well. But life is not like that, life is not like buying a new phone that comes with a manual that is written in your own language and even if it is not written in your own native language, you can just have the manual translated ( you can even hire a translation company to do that for you)

But life is not like that, though we have our own manual (which is the bible) most of the times there are incidents happening that we don’t understand and even how hard we try we just can’t get a grip of it. Like the recent shooting incident in Connecticut-I don’t think anyone will ever know the lot’s of why behind that tragic occurrence. And I don’t know if a mother can understand why it had to be her daughter or son? When you are in grief, you don’t even have the desire to know why.

I‘m also trying to figure out my father’s sickness that has been causing me lots of tears lately but to no avail. And I know sooner I have to accept the fact that he’ll be taken from us whether I like it or not, whether I understand it or not. Because we don’t and we are not made to understand everything that is happening around us, to us.

I guess what matters most is the acceptance. Hard as it is, it is the only way we can start to move on.

Only in the Philippines

I was on twitter yesterday and I was one of those who first noticed that a certain place here in our city is trending worldwide. "Ayala-Alabang" is one of the place where the richest people in our country live. It was trending because the twitter world reacted about the Brgy City Council creating an ordinance that you can not buy condoms without prescriptions, so you see people were like..uh..are you crazy? what are you thinking? I understand if it's a pill like you know those prohibited pills that are being used to abort a baby or even a male enhancement pills but I don't get why would anyone need a prescription to buy a condom?

I'm all pro life but I find this city ordinance funny. How would a doctor prescribe a condom? Don't they have anything to do anymore beside creating an ordinance like that?

Only in the Philippines no?

God bless the PHILIPPINES

The Philippines has its new President and I wish him all the best in his gargantuan task to lead this country to healing and recovery. I’m sure he will be needing the best anti- wrinkle creams because of the many problems our country is facing right now.

I pray he will do something to at least alleviate the POVERTY in this land.

I pray he will keep his promise-that he will not be a corrupt President that he will give to people what is due to them.

It’s time to move on and to forget the ugly thoughts and words during the campaign period.

GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES

Donate to HAITI

World rushes to help Haiti, relief and donations are flooding but I read that there is still a shortage of food and water. Let's do our part, let us help in our own little way, maybe instead of planning to buy diet pills online why not donate online? When manila was hit by the big flood last September, a lot of organization has opened up donations online so I am sure there are many online ways to help Haiti also. In fact you can do it through RED CROSS. If you can not do it online, there is also the text messages just make sure to check that it is not a scam as a lot of people will also take this opportunity to do that and so with online donations, be cautious in giving your donations which I'm sure was a hard earned money.

SALVATION ARMY accepts text donation as well as YELE through the effort of the hip hop artist Wycleaf Jean.

There is hope-Haiti

I know most of you by now have heard about the Haiti earthquake that devastated almost whole of the capital city of Haiti.

I just showed my dear husband the pictures and videos a while ago and watching videos in you tube makes me even more sad especially reading some of the comments. Some questioned the existence of God, some even said harsher words. Very very sad.

I know it is hard to comprehend why God would allow this kind of tragedy but who can explain God's mind?

Our small country has been hit by tragedies also last year but I am thankful that our people never questioned God and our people still believed that yes there is God in spite of these disasters.

I hope I can do something to help in my own little way, I hope those who can would help, I hope people would be more sensitive to the need of the others and stop thinking about themselves for a while, for all we know even as thousand of people there are trying to fight for their lives others are thinking about the best wrinkle creams they will buy.

I hope people will still believe that there is God and that HE is still in control.

I hope that victims will still see hope amidst this tragedy.

I can only pray and hope.
