I actually have nothing to update but still I want you to know (my readers) what's going on with this planned trip.
Our missionary pastor who resides there now in Kiningau, Sabah, Malaysia went back there last Monday. They were for Christmas and new year. They're already informed that we will be going there this February, we will be staying in their house for a week.
Rudolf my husband and the band (2 members from Musician On Fire) and a girl named Sharon whom I have yet to meet are now rehearsing every Monday and Thursday for the songs they will be playing/singing in churches in Malaysia.
As of to date, we are set to leave on the 25th, but no one has ticket yet. I still have to e-mail the one in charge in Malaysia for coordination and for schedules.
Our missionary couple friend and housemate Carmel & Andrew are going also but they'll follow on our last two weeks there.
I still want to go to Singapore from Kota Kinabalu probably on our last week but we'll see what God wants for us.
Please keep on praying for us, pray that the Lord's will be done and that HE prepares us for this trip and that HE may use us mightily in this field.
Pray also for His provision for this mission trip.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!

Our TV at home
I know I seldom post about our home here so I wonder if I ever mentioned that we do not have cable subscription and that we own a second hand TV bought at the pier and that we only get three major channels? And to add to that- when you open our tele you might want to blink your eyes hundred times trying to see the images clear but please don't exert effort anymore because yes it is blurry.
I don't mind though because I only watch the evening news, although most of the time all I do was listen to the reporter's voice. I don't want to strain my eyes as it was already tired from the office during the whole day.
So anyways, we are now considering subscribing to a cable company so we can get more channels and clearer views. I do not know if we have Time Warner Digital Cable here but I am hoping we will be able to find the cheapest one.
I have to ask also our phone provider if they can give us cable with the same subscription, you know it would be cheaper right? like the Time Warner Digital that is connected with the Time Warner Digital Phone. Internet, cable and phone at the same time. Hmnn..that sounds good.
We have phone line and internet already so all I have to do is inquire if they can provide cable so I can say goodbye to that three blurry channels soon.

Our Scholarship ministry
2 more months to go and it's end of school year here.
The scholarship ministry program of Fishnets is please to announce that we have one high school student graduating this March. She will not send graduation invitations though because it is not a practice here in Manila to send out such.
Anyways, I hope we can still help this young girl in her schooling next year. I pray there will be more people touched and encouraged to bless this scholarship ministry. Our aim is to help those poor but deserving students finish school. Although public school is free here it is still expensive to people who live beyond poverty line.
This year, we have one high school and 2 bible school students and I'm praying we will be able to help more next school year.

Thankful Thursday-Husband

Good morning everyone! It’s Thursday once again and this would be the last of the month, thank you Lynn for hosting this month and next week we’ll all see each other at Iris of Grace alone
Thankful Thursday is a blessing and I want to thank God for leading me into this beautiful community of bloggers. Reading your encouraging comments is a bliss and I look forward to it every Thursday.
And this week I am specially thankful for my Husband. I may not have the best husband if we look into the standards of this world but I tell you, he's God's best for me and I am so thankful that I waited for him.
Many times the pressure of my work and the many hormonal changes in women makes me really tough on him and he's just there accepting me and loving me in the best way he knows.
I can be so demanding at times but he tries his best to be available for me most of the time.
He makes my coffee every morning and prepares my breakfast everyday. And yes this may sound weird but he also prepares the clothes I am to wear to the office everyday.
I am actually making this post for him because I feel guilty :) I was hard on him twice this week and he has been my shock/anger absorber for the longest time now and I just wanna tell him I love him and that I am sorry for all those moods I put up on him.
I am so much thankful that I am blessed with a husband that loves me unconditionally.
PSALM 37:4
"DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD AND HE SHALL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART"
Lord, may I find serving you a "SHEER DELIGHT"..may I find contentment in doing your will and not what I want.

weekend list with baloons and flowers
It's Saturday! Nothing special is going to happen today but if you sense the excitement on that it is because simply means no work for me. I call it my rest day from the office but of course this is ministry day. We were supposed to join the Bibu kids this morning but we woke up late (again) but then it was already 4 Am when I went to bed.
So what's on my list today?
1. Will go to Divisoria in an hour (for my foreign readers, that's the best bargaining market in Manila) I am going to canvass stuff for give away, whew! I suddenly remember that it's still work related..it's ok, at least I am not confined in the office for whole day.
2. Will have to study about the topic I am going to share with the youth tomorrow. I am beginning to feel the nervous because this would be my first time with them.
3. Will attend music team practice for the worship service tomorrow.
Someone texted me an invitation to attend a balloon seminar also but I can't do that for now, but along with my dream of learning the art of flower arrangement I hope to do that someday soon. You see, I am fascinated with balloons and flowers and those two can be use both in weddings and birthdays and any parties which is my passion also. I hope to have that balloon/flower business alongside with the wedding/events coordination soon.
Anyways, we are leaving now. I hope you guys have a good weekend! Blessings everyone!

Ministry Updates
Update on our Malaysia mission trip : February 25 is our faith date according to hubby, we needed to raise at least $650 for this trip and right now we still don't have any cents but we have friends who said they will give support..Praise God! Hubby and me are attending ACCESS training (training for missionaries) before we go probably 3rd week of February.
Update on Ministries : Music ministry is doing good, last Sunday there is a newcomer who auditioned and wants to be in the worship team, another one who has been in training for 5 weeks now is also doing fine, he'll be under discipleship or mentoring and hopefully by March, he'll be ready to be on the worship service to play guitar.
Urban poor kids ministry will resume tomorrow in two areas, this time we will offer tutorial to kids who struggles in their studies, there will be feeding, singing and bible story alongside with it. please pray that these kids will be instrument for the whole family to be saved.
Update on my mother : she went to see a doctor yesterday, bless the good heart of our good neighboor who happens to be her friend that accompanied her to the provincial hospital. She texted me and said she's doing okay now. I hope this time she really would stop smoking though it is not like this Rocky Patel cigars which I think is expensive , I still would want her to give up that habit.please remember her also in your prayers.

Thankful Thursday

Today is Thankful Thursday and even if I am in the midst of “needs” and of “testings” I will not stop myself from making this post and give glory and thanks to our Lord.
(First) Okay so to start, our lone computer at home gave up on us last Tuesday, for reasons my hubby do not know It just wouldn’t boot, so that means I can’t work (paid blogging) at home. And God knows I needed that extra income more than anything now….
(Second) that my dad phoned me and told me that mom is sick and that she needs to see a doctor which means I have to send money for that.
And lastly our electric bill is now overdue and we’ve now got a disconnection notice.
So you think there’s nothing to be thankful for right? Wrong..because in situation like this, you find more reasons to thank God.
I thank Him for I have good friends and housemate who willingly lend us their laptop at night.
I thank God that until now we still have electricity and I’m sure it will not be disconnected until we paid the bill which is later today. (I claim we can pay it today)
And lastly, I am thankful that my paid blogging money will arrive tomorrow.
I just can’t help but shout that GOD IS GOOD and ALL THE TIME!!!
Hang on to Lynn's post today and be blessed by her "rat" and "laugh" story. I tell you I was blessed and saw God laughing.

The Attitude of an Overcomer
Today’s Verse: “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith” (I John 5:4, NIV).
Today’s Word:
Are you facing some challenges or experiencing some unexpected setbacks? We all have things that come against us, but God didn’t create us to be overwhelmed and overcome; He created us to be overcomers!
During those times when we do face challenges, it’s our attitude that is really most important. Think about it for a minute. When something isn’t going your way month after month, how do you respond? Are you tempted to get sour or start expecting the worst? Does your mind start going “ninety-to-nothing” playing out all the scenarios? It may be easy to get down and discouraged, but if we go around thinking it’s never going to work out, our attitude limits what God can do. But when we dig our heels in knowing that God is bigger than our problems and that He already has a way out, when we fight the good fight of faith, that’s what allows God to show up and turn negative situations around.
Today, remember, you are created to overcome. There is victory already in store for your future. Stand strong with the attitude of an overcomer and watch what God will do on your behalf!
Prayer for Today: Father in heaven, thank You for making me an overcomer in Christ Jesus. I trust that You are bigger than my problems and that You are working on my behalf. Thank You for the victory in store for my future! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Sleepless in Makati
I've been sleeping less and less again for almost a week now but I don't want to complain because I know I am not wasting those precious hours. But then health should be a priority also otherwise I'll be spending hard earned money for medicines or doctors and that is the last thing I want to happen. Maybe that is why others are keen on having health insurance. I don't have one except for the government health benefits that we are required to pay out of our salary which for sure is very far from the benefits of NC health insurance.
Today, we've been to two parties and right now I am still full so I don't want to sleep yet and I guess I won't be able to sleep with the two cups of coffee I just had hours ago.
I've finally finish the make over of my new domain, if you have time, please feel free to check it here.
