Thankful Thursday

I still do not know what the theme for this week because it is not yet Thursday in some part of the world. I guess I am a bit early but that's fine, I might not have an Internet access later so I better finish this meme now.

For this week I am thankful for the following;

1. Healing - I got sick last week, I thought there is really something wrong with me. Praise God for HE is our Healer.

2. I can't thank HIM enough for giving me my husband. When I was sick and couldn't do a thing on my own, he showed me even more how much he love me, he fed me, prayed for me,take good care of me. I know I am blessed with a wonderful godly husband.

3. I am thankful I had the chance to read Priscilla Shirer's " A jewel in His crown" -rediscovering your value as a woman of excellence. I love this one. I am relearning things in new perspective.

So there's my list for this week. How about you? You can share your thankful heart with us too. Lynn is hosting for this month.

Overcoming Difficult Times

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God"
(Psalm 42:5-6, NIV).

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

When times get tough, don´t be surprised if you feel a heaviness trying to overwhelm you. Don´t be surprised if you hear negative thoughts telling you, "It´s never going to work out. Things are never going to get better. It´s over. It´s done." When those thoughts come, remember, you have a choice–you don´t have to believe those lies. You don´t have to get on board with your emotions.

In the Bible, David encountered many difficult situations. That spirit of heaviness tried to steal his destiny. He got depressed and discouraged, but do you know what he did? He started talking to himself. He said, "Why are you cast down, oh my soul? Put your hope in the Lord." He was saying, "David, snap out of it! Why are you discouraged? Why have you lost your joy? God is still on the throne, and He still has good things in store." When that heaviness tries to come on you, do what David did. As you put your trust in the Lord and praise Him, He´ll give you His strength and empower you to overcome every obstacle you may face!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for the strength to overcome the difficult times. I choose to shake off the spirit of heaviness by praising and worshiping You. I bless You today and always. In Jesus´ Name. Amen.

Thankful Thursday

I missed the Thankful Thursday last week, I have so much in my hands right now and I don't have much time to write and visit blogs but I don't want to miss it again this week because writng this meme is like a therapy to me and I needed that badly.

Lynn chose FREEDOM as this weeks theme and the word is perfectly right for me.

I've been seeking the Lord and asking Him for His direction to me because totally I have no more peace of doing what I am doing now (office job) so I am seriously praying if this is the right time to leave.

Well, God gave me this word last week.

And now He gave me this word FREEDOM. So what does it mean to me? That I have freedom to choose. God has given me the spirit of freedom. So whether I stay here or not regardless of what HE wants for me then it's up to me. He has given me freedom to say yes or not, freedom to obey HIM or not. What a loving Father we have in HIM.

Decision making is so tough specially when it comes with consequences but if I don't decide I'll be forever stuck in this. Of course the only thing that worries me so much is the compensation I get in working. But God promised if I obey HE will provide.

I remember this from a Pastor " When there's mission, there's provision"

So there, I am thankful for God's loving arms and words this week. Thank you Lord for staying with me all the time.

PRAISE HIM!!!!

at the edge of my cliff

And just when I needed to hear from GOD..this is what HE said

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff , trust Him fully and let go , only 1 of 2 things will happen , either He'll catch you when you fall , or He'll teach you how to fly! 'The power of one sentence! God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favor. . God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close.

Do not complain!!

Just want to make a quick post here before I get to do all my pending task here in the office and do that research about life insurance quote.

I was absent from work yesterday, I have to accompany our two missionaries in an out of town trip. Liz is going home on Friday which is sad because I will surely miss her and we specifically did that trip for her to see a bit of our countryside. She had fun I guess. We all had fun.

And I am supposed to be working now so I just want to leave you with this devotion I have read form our daily bread which I think is very timely for me and for the ministry team i worked with.

“ we need to avoid a complaining spirit when serving Christ. Instead, rejoice and thank God for all He has done! – Bill Crowder

Phil. 2:14 says;

“Do all things without complaining and disputing”

Have a nice day!!

Thankful Thursday

Laurie talked about Family today especially about Fathers. I've got my father looks and yes, when people see me they see the family resemblance and I hope It's the same thing with my spiritual family.

I thank God for my "tatay" (dad), he may not be the best dad in the world but there is no question on how much he loves us, I often hear him telling his friends how good we are ( he's so proud of us all) and I love it. I mean we're not also perfect children but to hear your dad bragging about you that's something. He is quite old now and yet he is still in perfect health, my only prayer is for him to completely receive Jesus and be the Lord of his life.

For this week I am also thankful for the two young missionaries that are serving here in Manila particularly helping us (fishnets) in our ministry.

Liz is from North Carolina and just arrived last Friday and she's so lovely! She will be here for two weeks (praying she'll come back again for a long term) . I can see the Lord in her life, she's a sweet sweet blessing.

Rachel is from UK and is here for the second time. She's working with us in the children and youth ministry. She will be staying for one year here. She has a very generous heart. Beautiful soul. She has a kind heart.

May the Lord bless these young ladies as they continue to serve the Lord!!

more about our dream home

And about the kitchen? I would surely love to have this beautiful kitchen cabinet and this kitchen accessories. I would love to put some girlie colors like pink and yellow.
I would also love to have a big space in my kitchen because I know there will always be people in my house. I have a friend who love to cook so I'm sure she'll be invited often.

It's quite funny because while looking at kitchen accessories I came to learn about Kettlebell. No it is not something you use in the kitchen but it is something you use to lose weight.

Well, gotta go now. Still have to finish some work so I can have this dream house someday.

Will feature our dream bedroom next.

Dreaming- Our Home

I can’t have these beautiful patio furniture now but I will someday when I have my own house. I dream of having a home at the country side where I can have gardens and a small swimming
pool.
I would invite friends to have fellowship, have barbecue or just swim. The kids would love it! My nieces and nephews will surely love to be in my home then.

I'll have that dream someday.

Are you insured?

Most people buy all kinds of insurance, health insurance, educational plan, pension plan and many more plans. We always want to be secure, we want our kids to have the best schools when they grow up, we want to have the best hospital care if ever we get sick and we want to make sure our loved ones won’t have hard time when we left this world thus we buy insurance.

But let me tell you, when you have Jesus in your heart, you’re pretty much secure of everything not only of your needs here while living but the most beautiful part is that you are secure of the place you’re going to when you die.

I love that kind of life insurance no exam needed, no interviews for approval, no requirements. Just give your life to HIM and He will take care of it.

I know I am insured of heaven. Life maybe difficult here at present but I look forward to a life of princess in my Father's house.

Stress-Wishful thinking

I'm super stressed. It's only Tuesday.

I have loads of work to do, so many documents to prepare.

Can you please help me pray for JOY while doing all these stuff? Sometimes office work can really drain your energy out but I need the job.

How I wish it's already Friday.

How I wish I don't go to work anymore.

How I wish I am doing something different now, like taking photography lessons with my husband.

How I wish I am shopping on line now looking at the best DSLR and digital cameras I can but someday.

How I wish I am going home now.

Bad employee..tsk..stsk..
