Fishnets Ministry started this last year, the purpose is to help the kids aged 5-6 years old who have difficulty in reading specially those who are incoming grade one pupils. This is being held every summer. One of the kids in the reading camp last year was awarded "Best in Reading" in her class. Sweet fruit of our teacher's labor :)
This year, we have eight kids and I know they were taught properly. I just hope one of them receives an award again at the end of the school year.
Kudos to our volunteer teachers. I know how hard it is to teach younger kids (with all the playing here and there, sometimes they even play with hoist rings and boards) but they did manage well :) I am so proud of them!
Till our next reading camp!!!

Focusing On The Future Not The Past
10. Get out in front of your battle…begin praising God for the victory…even before you see it manifest.
9.
God doesn’t want you settling for…just getting by or spinning your
wheels going nowhere. God wants you to maximize your future..
8.
God is more interested in where you’re going…than where you’ve been.
Your focus should be front and centered. Philippians 3:13
7. Your reputation goes before you it can either open or close doors for you.
6. Be on time today...to your job...every appointment. Being late is a sign of disrespect. God is on time and we should be too.
5. The best way to encourage yourself is to recall all that God has done for you in the past.
4. Confidence will take you places doubt never will. Confidence in Him makes you a winner in life…no matter…what you’re facing.
3. Lack of opportunity…create it. Lack of confidence…develop it. Lack of education…get it. Lack of success…make it happen.
2. Never make an important decision when you are too angry…too lonely…too tired…too hungry or when you haven’t prayed about it..
1. God is doing more for you right now…that you can’t see…so He can bring into manifestation…the things you can see.

Amplifiers for the church
My husband who is now a worship Pastor and is in charge of the music ministry of our church is always on the look out for nice and not so expensive sound system for the church. I know how he wanted to at least buy a complete set for our church in Makati but sad to say, church budget doesn't allow that yet which makes him feel gloomy at times.
Anyways, if I show him these ampeg amplifiers at Guitar Center, he'll be excited and enthusiastic again (like a small boy who sees a new toy)I just hope though na sana someday we will be able to buy what we need na sa church.

Tired much
It was a very hectic day today for me and hubby. I woke up at 4 o'clock in the morning for my baby's milk, got up at 5:30 to get ready for work, left home at 7 o'clock to bring some breakfast to those who work at our house, then proceed to get things done for my work.
I visited three different banks and inquired on how an organization (NGO) like us could open a peso and dollar account. Honestly I have hard time understanding all their (many) requirements. I never thought it was that complicated specially with Citibank. I couldn't believe how someone from there told me that "they shun away from organizations like ours". She even said "it's complicated" when I insist for an explanation.
For sure I'll be in-charge with all these things specially because I'll be handling the accounting. How I wish I'm working something else.. like printing or something like that co's I know I can do an overnight print than overnight accounting.

Let Go of the Wrong Relationships
| TODAY’S SCRIPTURE |
| “Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’ ” |
| (1 Corinthians 15:33, NIV) |
|
|
| TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria |
|
Do
you ever get around a certain person and feel an uneasiness or an
unrest? Something inside says, “Stay away. That’s trouble.” Those are
not just bad vibes. That’s the Holy Spirit warning you. It may be small,
but it can keep you from a big heartache. You might say, “Well, Joel,
if I don’t hang out with them, I may not have any friends.” No, God will
give you new friends. He will give you better friends. The key is: if
you don’t let go of the wrong people, the right people won’t show up.
This is not talking about a relationship already committed in marriage,
but relationships outside of marriage. God doesn’t force us to let go of
wrong relationships. He has given us our own free will. But when God
asks you to give something up, He is never
trying to take something away. He is trying to get something better to
you. As we obey Him, we grow and mature which opens the door for more of
His blessings and favor.
Remember,
bad company corrupts good character. Let go of friends or influences
that you know are dragging you down. Trust God to bring the right people
and connections across your path. Let go of wrong relationships and
move forward in the blessing He has prepared for you!
|
|
|
| A PRAYER FOR TODAY |
| Father, thank You for directing my steps. I ask that You help me choose right relationships. Give me courage to let go of the wrong relationships so I can make room for the right people You have ordained for my life in Jesus’ name. Amen. |

Fishnets Ministry to Compostela Valley
As part of our youth mission camp, our young people from Metro Manila visited areas in Compostela Valley that was greatly affected by typhoon Pablo last December. Five months after the disaster, you can still feel the anguish, BUT they are rising up, slowly they try to live a normal life.

God bless all these kids. I pray and hope that someday I'll see you all again!!

Cramming time
"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go"
I wish I could sing that song right now, but reality is, we're leaving home tomorrow at 10 in the morning and I'm still here at the office, going to church later to finish more stuff for the mission camp and no single shirt has been pack yet. I'm actually feeling that my husband and I will be awake the whole night for us to finish everything.
And I still have to buy some things for us, I need slippers, I wish I can buy Oboz boots for hiking but our current finances won't let me so I'll settle for good slippers/flipflops instead.
In the midst of this rushing and cramming, sometimes I tend to get too worried and in the process lose the joy of doing ministry but thank God I am reminded. See my previous picture post?
I turn all my cares into prayers together with praises and thanksgiving and I know I can do this. :)
Back me up with your prayers too please.
God bless you!!

Busy as a bee
Hello everyone.
It's been a while since I last posted here, life is quite busy, Our youth mission camp is happening on the 22nd of April, we are flying to Davao on the 20th as we are going to be the advance party. I'm rushing a lot of things before we leave, printing programs, certificates, Id's and many more camp stuff. Plus, work is crazy and I have to settle a lot of things because I'll be out of the office for one whole week ( I can imagine how sad my boss is) but Praise God, he gave his permission and said yes to my leave. In top of that, we have with us two nephews spending thier summer vacation, so yes, I have no more extra time in my hands, Rudolf my husband is as busy as I am too.
We are excited about this first ever youth mission camp and I know that God is goin to do something BIG and GREAT to all of us there.
Please include us in your prayers, as of today we have an estimate of 200 young people (excluding the camp staff, officers and speakers) so more or less 250 people.
It's big work but I trust my BIG GOD.
And I believe my husband and I deserve a break after this. or a gift for our selves, david king briefcase and a brand new wallet for me :)
Anyways, please please remember the "mission camp" in your prayers. Thanks everyone and God bless!!
