Thankful Thursday- the still small voice

"As you think about your Thankful Thursday post, consider your heart. Write about obedience or hearing the voice of God. Be Blessed, Lynn"

Quoted that from Lynn's post.

THAT STILL SMALL VOICE...

I know we don't hear it too often, specially when we get too busy with what's going on in our life. When we are too engrossed with our ministry, when we are too concerned with things we need and things that surrounds us.

I was taking a shower yesterday morning and I knew I heard that voice.

Yes, sometimes God speaks to us in silence, not only thru reading His words or hearing sermons and preachings. And I know in my heart it is Him who spoke that morning.

And he wants me to do something. He wants me to give up and resign from a certain ministry which I am very involved with. I mean I am one of those who pioneered that ministry. I belong to the core group leader of that ministry.

But why would He want me to give that up? That I do not know.

but Psalms 32:8 says

" I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you"

I also remember last January, God told us He is giving us new direction. So I wonder would this be it? Should I leave all the ministry I am involved now because He is leading us to new direction?

I thank God for His voice, His words. Though it is not easy for us to give up something that is dear to us we still should be thankful in hearing that still small voice. Obedience is not easy. but obedience is better than sacrifice.I hope I will obey my God whatever it is that He is asking me to do.

So what are you thankful for this week? share it with us. God bless everyone!

Rocks,

I was just so moved by your post. First, I am so GLAD to know that God talks to you in the shower. I often hear from him when I am standing in the shower... too funny.

But, I also hear your heart about your future decision. I have been in this very place. Often, God wants us to move on because He has such amazing things planned and He also wwants to allow someone new to serve where you once did.

Love you for sharing your vulnerable heart. God has BIG plans girl...Hugs and have a blessed TT.

I love it when God speaks directly to me in that still small voice. That says...I love you enough to tell you what I want you to do, where to go and how to get there. I love you enough to try to keep you from making mistakes that will harm you. His way is always the right way.

We are so blessed that we can communicate with God 24/7 and He with us.

Thanks for sharing this very encouraging and moving post today.

((hugs))

Oh such a difficult seat to sit...to leave something you started and has been such an integral part of your life. It will be exciting, though, to see how He uses what you've done and stretches and challenges you with whatever comes next. Blessings and may His still, small voice always be apparent to you!

Very touching and moving post indeed. The relationship with faith is what drives so many of us internally, in times good and bad. Great words, and we should all be thankful to God no matter what the circumstances.
