Thankful that I am employed

I have considered resigning from my job many times, If I remember it right I told my boss thrice that I am resigning already but God do have different plans because I'm still with my boss and few weeks from now, it will be seven years since I accepted the job.

And at this point in time, I am thankful that I have a job and a stable one. Seeing the many graduates and unemployed..really I am grateful. This job has helped me more than I expected and though we do not have payday advance program in our company, they were never late in giving our salary and is helping employees during emergencies.

So right now the last thing I do not want to happen is to lose this job because of our house project. I'll stay few more years and unless the Lord brings me/us to another land I think I'll hang on here.

Waking up early in the morning to come to office is a struggle..
Serving a boss that is demanding and strict is hard
But in spite of all that..I am blessed. I work hard for what I spend.

Obedience = Abundant prosperity

Deuteronomy 28:11-14 (New International Version)

11 The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity--in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground--in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.  12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.  13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.  14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

Morning devotion

I guess I need not take hoodia diet pills or any kind of loss weight pills if I can do some work out every morning. Because we are living in our church mission's house, we have to wake up as early as 6:00 for the daily morning devotion and I am thinking of doing a 30 minute walking right after the devotion. Morning rituals that is good for both body and soul. Perfect right?

It's one good benefit we get from living inside the mission's house which we call Center. And my husband and is thankful that for at least a month we will be doing that again. Honestly speaking, when we are out living on our own, we both find it hard to have that fix devotion time.I do it mostly at night before bedtime but often times I find my self spending more hours in front of the PC.

So I will savor this and hope to continue even if we are on our own already.

LJBC Christmas Party

And because finally I have some time to spend blogging and uploading pictures, I'm posting photos from our church Christmas Party. This was last December 19. We made sure everyone gets something. Thank you for those who supported and shared their blessings to us. The preparation especially buying the groceries and wrapping the gifts is tedious and tiring, I did it only the day before the party and I had to go to three grocery stores and shopping malls to complete the gifts, all the the running I did that day is more than the diet pills that worked and I have tried before. Thank you also for the hands that helped me in wrapping them all.
Till next year!

Some of the gifts

The line up of kids for the cash gift :) from a church member that is so blessed and is being a blessing to all of us. he gave us cash gift too! Thank you Kuya Rudy!
Everybody went home happy!!!

2011 Mission's Conference

It's now confirmed that we are going to attend the East Asia Regional Conference this coming February in Singapore. Praise the Lord!!Our beloved Pastor booked our ticket last Tuesday. I pray that this mission's conference will brought something new into our hearts as we continue to serve the Lord here in the Philippines. I also pray that the Fishnets Ministry whom we are going to represent will gain more exposure and I also hope to meet those who partnered and supported us from Singapore last year.

We have yet to established an office of our own, we do not have office tables or computers for office use, or hp printers or anything that you so usually find in office set up, this ministry doesn't even have full time workers (we are all volunteers) and yet I know we are rich because our God is big!!

Back to the mission's conference, we still need funds for the registration fee, as a matter of fact, nothing has been paid yet but again I do not worry because I have lifted them up to the Lord and I am very very SURE that He will provide.

God of surprises

The God we serve is not just a faithful God, He is also a God full of surprises :)
I know I've also mentioned here that we are moving and the last decision we had was to stay at my sister's place in Bulacan which is quite far (not quite actually) and I was ready to make that long trip to
the office everyday..that's approximately 2 hours to 2 and a half travel time.

But as I have said a while ago, our God wants to surprise us sometime.

My boss whom I didn't inform that we are moving offered a place for us to stay for FREE.

And I am grateful to our Lord who never fails, He is FAITHFUL even if we are not most of the time.

To him be all the glory!

I hope to be back to regular blogging when we're settled for the mean time I have to check this dvi to hdmi cables for my husband.

God is good all the time!

Ministry Meeting

We had our first ministry meeting tonight. And though some of the problems from 2010 are still there we are all determined to do better this year.

The team have laid out plans for each ministries (health, education and youth) and we are all excited, surely this year will be BIGGER.

We will have three DVBS (Daily Vacation Bible School) this coming summer. One in Bataan, in Sta Lucia and here in our church.

I am also happy that the youth will have the chance for a local mission trips through these Vacation Bible School.

Another area for the feeding ministry will be added so we will have three areas this year. It used to be four but we decided to do less last year but as I have said God is doing it BIGGER this time.

We will have two "Praisin Kids' town (mini carnival) again, one for the BIBU kids and the other for the Special Children.

And the Back to School Hygiene Day is also up on schedule.

Plus there are lot of special activities on plan that we hope to take place this year.

The HEALTH ministry is also doing it much much BIGGER this year. They are already working for the Medical Mission on the 23rd of July.

With all that plans laid out, we covet your prayers for we know we can not do this alone. We need prayer warriors and I hope I can count on you. Some of our prayer items are :

1. Volunteers- we surely need extra hands. We need teachers for the weekend feeding and teaching program, we also need one who would be responsible for the material handling especially for all the major activities.

2. Finances - Bigger works means bigger expenses but it's okay because if that would mean bigger harvest for souls, bigger number of families transformed, bigger number of youth changed, so please please if you knew someone who have the heart for this kind of ministry, if your church is willing to support please let us know.

3. Prayer Warriors - we need all the prayers for all of these to take place.

I'll be updating from time to time about everything that is happening in our ministry so we could all give the GLORY TO GOD!! The reason why we are doing all of these.

International Teams East Asia Regional Conference

2009 was our first time to attend the IT EAST ASIA Regional Conference, it was also the first time our ministry (Fishnets) was asked to report and gave an update, Fishnets was so new then.

This year, the conference will be in Singapore and it's happening on February 9-12. We would love to attend and meet other missionaries from all over Asia and at the same time tell them about our ministry here.

But we need your support and prayers, the registration fee and the airfare is quite big and we really can't afford it on our own.

We could stay in my cousin's place in Singapore to lessen the expenses (and if we could stay in some kind of Lightweight Backpacking Tents we would, if that would mean less expenses) just to be able to attend the said conference.

Please include this in your prayers. That we will be able to go and share and meet other missionaries and be blessed and restored and strengthened for another year of ministry.

God bless everyone!

New year :)

I know this will be a wonderful new year..because..

1. GOD CAN DO EVERYTHING (JOB 42:2)

2. THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR HIM ( JER.32:17)

3. THERE IS NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM (LUKE 1:37)

This is the year that GOD will perform the good things which HE promised unto us.
(Jeremiah 33:14)

Sick.Plans.Next year

I was down the whole day yesterday, something I ate the night before made my stomach grumble and I feel ill the whole day, as a matter of fact until today but I am feeling a lot better than yesterday. I thought I was going to rushed to the ER yesterday but that's the last thing in my mind. I was actually screaming (silently) in pain because I don't want my husband to worry. I don't want to be brought in the hospital for so many reasons, I'm afraid the doctors will say I need to stay longer to check what's wrong with me and that they will poke me with needles and all and that I'll spend my Christmas in the hospital..so many thoughts running in my mind..but above all that? the expenses!!! Hospitalization is really not in our budget and I know a day in the hospital will cost me a week's allowance and I don't want to spend the Christmas money with the hospital expenses. Good thing I went against the husband's will. I stayed home and pray and pray that I'll be better.

This event made me think though of seriously having an emergency fund, just in case something bad happens to one of us,at least we will not worry about the money for hospitalization. So that would be one of my definite plan for next year. I am also thinking of investing, will not buy gold coins but I heard that's a good one. I am thinking of just small investment, passive income and I hope to achieve that next year. Although I have yet to write down and see our monthly budget next year.

I'm looking forward to the coming year. I know THE BEST IS YET TO COME for us, for our married life, for our ministry, for our finances :)
