LJBC Youth Camp 2012

We are all excited for this year's youth camp. Our Pastor went to see the camp venue today and he said it was all good. Campers will be staying in their own tent (which is first time) so everyone is really excited!! we are now in full preparation and though we won't be needing industrial rubber hose we need to ready lots of stuff :)

I and my friend J-mie will create the program for the whole event :) I just pray that this event will not just be another event for the. I pray lives will changes and that the youth will come to know and love the Lord more.

Ministry Schedule and Update

I'm excited for 2012 because a lot is going to happen in our ministries. I've started the calendar and though I said I'll do short term plan (at least 6 months) I still ended up filling up the whole year!!

First off, our first full Medical Mission is happening on the 21st of January-and hopefully we will have a second one again before the year ends. This will be in the South (Laguna area) and we hope to serve families that can't afford to go to Doctors, we will also be giving free vitamins for the kids. Praise God for the group of doctors who'll partner with us for this ministry.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is up and about again this coming Summer! Right now we are scheduled to have 4 VBS in 4 different areas :) Crazy I know, but God is our provider and I trust HIM. He will provide teachers, the materials and He will sustain our energy for this activity. The theme for this year is "The great outdoors : Exploring Nature -Experiencing God. This is gonna be a challenge for us because we are in the city and there is not much of nature/park nearby but our teachers/young people are up with that challenge :) I am thankful there is so much talent and creativity with our young people now and that they are using it to serve the Lord.

Aside from the VBS, there is the YOUTH CAMP on April 2-5, it's four days 3 nights and we are expecting at least less than a hundred youth to participate.

On May we will have the fund raising event again for the scholarship program and on JULY-I'm excited because a dear friend (Liz Propst) is coming back here in the Philippines with her mom and brother to help us in the ministries.

Our feeding ministry is still on-going, one in Makati City and we are supporting two feeding areas in Laguna. We are praying for more financial support with this as we desire also to reach more areas such as Bataan and Bicol.

Please partner with us in prayers, we need prayer warriors all over the world :) In preparation for all these happenings we will be on fasting and prayer (for 7 days) next week. Please do pray and fast with us. We need to offer all these to the Lord and make ourselves first and foremost intimate with HIM because otherwise without that close relationship with God, all these will just be plain church activities.

For other ministry needs, please pray for :

1. Ministry owned Camera - I know digital cameras are not that expensive anymore but believe me, until now Fishnets Ministry doesn't have one. It's about time :) (my personal camera which we often use in the ministry is now old and about to give up)

2. Volunteer Teachers- We need them specially for the Vacation Bible School

3. School supplies and other stuff for the kids- Our teacher in Laguna actually is praying for this, she has more than one hundred kids and they need more crayons and pencils.

Ooops..sorry, this has been a long post but thank you so much for staying and  reading.
God bless you!!

Church Anniversary

Our church is turning 28 on June 05 and like every year we try to celebrate it as special as we can. This year, the celebration will be in Pasay Sports Complex, a bigger one compared to where we had it last year.

Right now, the whole church staff is busy preparing for the occasion, in fact, today is the last day of rehearsal of the worship team. The worship team for the celebration this year is composed of every worship team of each outreach, so everyone in the music ministry of lJBC will have a part in the celebration. And this year, we will all be singing original compositions of LJBC music ministry, one from each outreach and the rest from Manila. They will also be recording the praise and worship session and everyone who wants a copy can request from Rudolf who heads the worship team.

And as usual, yours truly will be in charge of the decoration. Though it would be minimal this year due to budget constraint I still hope we can make it look as festive as we can.How I wish we can afford advertising flags and put some in front of the venue, that would be nice but as I have said, we will have very minimal decor this year.

But that doesn't make it less special. I know however we celebrate it, it doesn't matter to God for what matters most is that we are thankful for HIS faithfulness through all the years of LJBC.

I hope all of you can come and celebrate with us :)

Labor for the Lord!

Today, the "men of faith" in our church gathered and carried not their bibles but their rugs and paint brushes. They did a major cleaning of our worship place and you can say we are so blessed to have all of them here! Instead of hiring men to do the labourer jobs they offered their services for free of course. The walls are so clean with the green paint. I'm sure the congregation will be surprise to see how it looks so different now :) And I pray everyone will praise and worship the Lord heartily tomorrow.
From this dirty and old looking white wall

to this very refreshing and beautiful green wall!

May the Lord bless the hearts of this men!! We are all so proud of you!!

LJBC Christmas Party

And because finally I have some time to spend blogging and uploading pictures, I'm posting photos from our church Christmas Party. This was last December 19. We made sure everyone gets something. Thank you for those who supported and shared their blessings to us. The preparation especially buying the groceries and wrapping the gifts is tedious and tiring, I did it only the day before the party and I had to go to three grocery stores and shopping malls to complete the gifts, all the the running I did that day is more than the diet pills that worked and I have tried before. Thank you also for the hands that helped me in wrapping them all.
Till next year!

Some of the gifts

The line up of kids for the cash gift :) from a church member that is so blessed and is being a blessing to all of us. he gave us cash gift too! Thank you Kuya Rudy!
Everybody went home happy!!!

Couple's Valentines Party

Just got home a while ago from our church Valentines day celebration, yes our church do celebrate it :) we're cheesy I know..hehe! but every year the Housewives Ministry organizes a Valentine Party for the couples in the church and every year the women of our church always look forward to it. Below are some pictures taken, Last year I was the host and the game master, this time me and my friend Carmel hosted it. It was lot of fun!!

(me and hubby)

This heart balloon was a DIY by me and hubby, we were at lost first when we tried it, the rod was bought from the local hardware and electrical supplies store. It's worth the effort though because the church people loved it!!

Here are more pictures from the party :)

LJBC Las Pinas Anniversary

Just want to share some pictures from our church outreach anniversary last Sunday.
These young people have loads of energies in them, they dance like there is no tomorrow, but I am glad they do dance for the Lord! No hydroxycut side effects huh? yup..because obviously they don't need it. hehe!
This is their worship team, the young teen plays guitar and a 13 year old girl plays the drums. Amazing talents! and what makes it more amazing is that they maybe young but they are already being used in God's Kingdom :)

Happy 11th Anniversary LJBC Las Pinas!!
