66 Books of the Bible

Last Saturday at the Leadesrhip training, we were asked to write down all the 66 books in the Bible in chronological order, It was not surprising to know that some may know the books but not in their order  :) A very good reminder that we as teachers, disciplers should know this by heart. My husband struggles in memorizing (sometimes I do also, probably it comes with aging) but praise God, we were able to write it all down.

Tip to easy memorization:

Memorize it by group like the picture above, and if you still struggle with that you can do acronyms,
example; for the History Books; GELNuD
G- enesis
E-xodus
L-eviticus
Nu-mbers
D -eutoronomy

...and of course by reading your bible regularly you will eventually memorize it.

"Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." - Joshua 1:8 (NIV)

God bless everyone!

Good sound system and worship

We recently went to a fund raising  concert where we helped in the production team to which I saw their good sound equipment/system. The day  after that concert, it was our church anniversary, while we are setting up our music equipment, I remember the good sound system from the concert and how I wish that our music equipment is as good as that so we can have good sounds too, we can play better because we can hear each other's sounds.

While we  are doing sound check, reality hits me, that all we can hear are feedbacks from microphones and noise because we don't have good sound system like mackie thump speaker. I know it's expensive and our church cannot afford that yet.

As  a worship leader, I always feel the need of having the right and good sound system in the church. One noise and we can all be distracted, while if we can produce good sounds, it might help us   and the congregation focus more.

But  of course, what matter the most, still is our hearts. After all, the Lord listens not to the quality of sounds we produced while we are worshiping but He listens to our hearts. With or without accompaniment, we can still by all means worship God...but then a good sound equipment isn't bad to desire also like what I am desiring for our church to have someday soon.

Amplifiers for the church

My husband who is now a worship Pastor and is in charge of the music ministry of our church is always on the look out for nice and not so expensive sound system for the church. I know how he wanted to at least buy a complete set for our church in Makati but sad to say, church budget doesn't allow that yet which makes him feel gloomy at times.

Anyways, if I show him these ampeg amplifiers at Guitar Center, he'll be excited and enthusiastic again (like a small boy who sees a new toy)I just hope though na sana someday we will be able to buy what we need na sa church.

Discipleship

Matthew 28:19 (NIV)

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

~*~*~

I'm glad someone discipled me when I was just a new Christian, I'll forever be grateful to them because they taught me the very foundation of my faith.

This week, I'll resume my discipleship sessions with some of the young girls in our church. I pray I'll be able to impart to them what I have learned and that I'll be a good example for them as well.

Worship Pastor

Apparently that's my husband position in our church now. I don't even know what it means :) but last Sunday, they (along with other Pastors) were presented in the church as we had our first Metro Manila joint worship service in our new worship place.

Honestly, the position and the title does not matter to us but the responsibility does.

And I know, here comes a bigger responsibility for him, am I afraid he can't cope with it? Oh yes I admit I am but I am also reminded that if those whom the Lord found faithful in small things, He gives more. So I praise God for entrusting bigger responsibility to my husband.

I stand on His promise that not by my husband's might but by the power of the Holy Spirit, he wil be able to fulfill this greater calling.

And I know also that I play a very big role on this as his wife.

I must understand and support him all the more. And I know he will be spending more time for this, for planning, praying, executing and pastoring all the worship teams from different outreaches of our church. Help me God :) because I know I can be rough at times specially when it comes to the many music instruments and gadgets, even an aa battery charger for microphones and what nots can cause a major headache for me sometimes.

I should understand that the responsibility was not given to my husband alone but for both of us. I acknowledge though that God will give us strength and all the resources we need for the ministry.

God bless everyone!!

New bass and guitar amplifiers

Our church has now brand new bass and guitar amplifiers! How exciting is that? You go ask my husband (our worship Pastor) and he'll tell you how much it meant to him and the whole music team :) and of course to everyone of us. Jesus the Heart of Worship Global Ministries, Inc. started it's  Sunday worship with only one guitar and 2 old microphones and speakers and now we have additional sound system equipment. I know it won't be long till we also have the new set of speakers and mixers and maybe even an audio control surface. God is good and He always provides :)

Here are our new amplifiers much to the delight of the worship team :)

 God bless everyone!!

How much is one's soul?

JESUS our savior paid it with his life. His life is priceless because HE is the only son of GOD the Father and HE loved him deeply and yet HE gave him up for us.

It is very very clear in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world..that HE gave His only begotten Son..."

So therefore we Christians and believers of Christ should not also put a "tag price" on one's soul. Souls are important to HIM and HE wants everyone to be save and live with HIM in eternity.

Luke 15:7 says " I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent"

I understand one sinner who repents....

And  why am I  writing this? because I can't get over with the comment I read about a youth camp last Sunday. I do not exactly remember the words but it says something like this " The souls brought to the Lord does not compensate with the expenses made"

I almost cried when I read that..I wanted to cry because of the fact that the ones who made such comments are not mere Christians but Leaders and Pastors.

So my question ( and really I want to ask them this given the chance) is how much should a church or organization spend for a soul? Fifty pesos per soul? One Hundred pesos per soul? One Thousand per soul?

It is so sad that money counts a lot and that churches are not willing to spend much for the salvation of one sinner...

While JESUS gave HIS everything including HIS very own life.

New Church

It's been a month now since that very sad day when we.....I actually do not know how to word it but...I guess it's safe to say when we went out from our former church ( this may sound easy but I tell you it's NOT. up to this time, I lay still at night and think about what had happened and sometimes most of the time I can still feel the sadness within.

But on a lighter note, we have started to move on and so far we've been holding worship service in a small Barangay hall every Sunday morning, with one acoustic guitar and two microphones :) but that doesn't matter at all, the important thing is we were able to worship corporately as brothers and sisters once a week :)

here are some of the pictures..
First Sunday

Our second Sunday here :)

and our Third where the Lord confirmed our new church name : Jesus the Hart of Worship Global Ministries
and our Fourth..

God is good all the time!!!

Looking for a house for rent

...not for us but for our Pastor and his family.

because he was given only fifteen days (from June 6) to vacate the church property, we are now in  a hurry, they only have 5 days left :(

For specifics, probably near San Isidro and Palanan because the kids are in school. They actually have a house in Bulacan but they can't leave the city because of the ministry and their kids.

We've been scouting and searching for days now but to no avail. But we know that God will not let them live in the streets :) and if that is what the enemy wants, well I'm sorry to say God will not let that happen.

So please if you know of a house or an apartment for rent just inform me ASAP. They're not picky, even if it is an old house (at this time they won't look for anything else such as if the wires or hoses are teflon hose or not, as long as it can accommodate them and the kids, it's gonna be fine with them.

Thank God it's Friday :)

Because that would mean no office for two days. Hooray for the weekend!

There are few things I want to be excited about this weekend (besides from not going to work) On Sunday will be our first ever formal worship service with our new church name (pending registration though)but still i want to be excited about it. The last two weeks are pure chaos and pains and worries and I'm looking forward to worshiping with my brothers and sisters in Christ again. It's been a long time.

Also on Sunday afternoon, we will attend a Mcdonald birthday party for our godchild. We will make some balloon arrangement too for her. It is such a busy weekend and no time for grieving to what have happened, it's time to move on and start forgetting the past. It won't be easy but at least we will start now. The only problem I see this weekend is our home chores specially the laundry. How I wish I have tons of clothes ( would love to have  rj classics apparel too)and that it won;t be a problem to us even if we don't launder for at least two months..hahaha! lazy me :)

What are your plans this weekend? Are you also excited for your Sunday worship service?

New things to come

It's 6:00 in the morning and I am still awake. I had a very rough night last night  but surprisingly I'm okay now. It is still sad and I still don't understand everything but I've already offered it to the Lord.

We're moving out of the church and I guess you know that it is not easy. I'll post more about it (probably the details when I have the time and I'm rested and I can sit still in front of the pc and write my heart out)

For now, I am (we are) excited for the new chapter of our life, new worship place, new people, new souls to win and new environment. It would be hard to start anew specially if you start from scratch as in nothing even one chair (I wish I have silver bars from Golden Eagle which I can sell so we can buy all the things we will be needing in the new church but alas I have none.

But that only makes me even more excited to see and witness how God will work and how He will provide for our every need.

I'll keep you updated. :) Thank you for all the prayers and support!! Love you all!

Sing to the Lord always!

I know I did mention here that Selah's first worship album is coming soon and that we are excited and can't wait. We always look forward to recording time. Recording maybe long and tough (specially for first timer like them) but we are all enjoying it at the moment.

But you know, sad things are also happening alongside with our recording, it's been two Sundays now that Rudolf is not seen in the church, so that means he has not been leading the worship for two Sundays now. We are currently on "transition" process (if I can call it that way, we're praying and waiting for God's leading for us in line with our church.

I'm happy though that even if these things are happening, my husband never loses his passion to sing for the Lord. Whatever happens, we will always sing and make music to our Lord for His goodness and mercy never fails :)

As a matter of fact, now that we are resting from the church, he's been honing his music skills and is very eager to learn more (music notes and all that), getting ready for more greater opportunities in serving the Lord. (just a while ago, I showed him this boomerang looper for sale and he said he wants that) he is that eager :)
Will keep you posted about everything and as always..let's keep on praising the Lord!!

God bless everyone!

Volunteers-Our Young People

Our DVBS (Daily Vacation Bible School) for our outreach church will start tomorrow and will last till' Wednesday. This afternoon 12 young people traveled from Manila to Nagcarlan, Laguna ( approximately 3 hours travel time) and will teach at least a hundred kids about Jesus in this year's outreach DVBS :)

(other volunteers  not in the picture )

We were indeed blessed to have such many young people that have the heart and compassion to reach the lost and share God's love. Young people who serves the Lord and ask nothing in return from the church.  I am a witness on how they love to be used in every opportunity and every chance they might be useful. Thank you Lord.

And oh how I wish to bless them also in return for their hard work and dedication, for their obedience and teachable hearts.

Most of them are our scholars and I really pray we could continue to support their studies this coming school year.  Two of them are graduating college students :) both are taking IT (and most likely jhave some knowledge  about ITIL. Some of them are only high school students and are being use by the Lord mightily. Thank you lord for giving our church such compassionate young people. Please keep them safe.

LJBC's Water Baptism 2011

Our church (LJBC Global Ministry, Inc) conducted water baptism last Saturday, after months of water baptism seminar, 34 souls from three areas decided to obey and follow Christ. Rudolf and I weren't suppose to come but the last minute we changed our mind. I'm glad we did, I was able to hear testimonies and as always we were blessed to hear how God changed the lives of these people.

There is this one youth who testified that before, he used to snatch stuff from passerby, one youth also said he is like a beggar in the street but now they are all in Christ and becoming his disciples. God is so good indeed and ONLY HIM has the power to change us.

Here's some of the pictures from that big event :)

Labor for the Lord!

Today, the "men of faith" in our church gathered and carried not their bibles but their rugs and paint brushes. They did a major cleaning of our worship place and you can say we are so blessed to have all of them here! Instead of hiring men to do the labourer jobs they offered their services for free of course. The walls are so clean with the green paint. I'm sure the congregation will be surprise to see how it looks so different now :) And I pray everyone will praise and worship the Lord heartily tomorrow.
From this dirty and old looking white wall

to this very refreshing and beautiful green wall!

May the Lord bless the hearts of this men!! We are all so proud of you!!

Anniversary Blast!!!

We had a blast in our church anniversary yesterday. The heavy rain woke us up and immediately I said ..”oh Lord..thank you for the rain of blessings upon us”. I also thought few people would come because of the rain but I was wrong. It was more than we expected. It was nice to see familiar faces, as I have said it was two years ago when we last did this kind of celebration.

And the special numbers each outreach prepared is also very very entertaining And encouraging. A group of women interpreted a song. It was a delight to see a family performing for the Lord. The father singing, daughter on the bass guitar, son on the drums and another son on guitar. It was lovely!!

Everybody went home happy, encouraged and blessed. Praise God for another year, Praise God for the smooth flow of the program and despite the heavy rain we thank God that no one got sick, no one needed an allergy relief medicine and or no one was hurt.

Looking forward to seeing them all again next year!

P.S. Will post pictures later.

Church Anniversary

tomorrow! and everyone is excited.. it's our church 27th founding year and we are all grateful for HIS faithfulness and goodness in each year. And plus it's been three years since we had anniversary celebration that includes all the outreaches from the provinces. So tomorrow we are expecting a lot of people to come and celebrate with us.

Hubby made us (the worship team) special t-shirts to wear with tuxedo pants? I guess no, no one wears that in celebration like this. The husband also designed the tarpaulin that will be used as backdrop for the stage. He did a good job there. I am so proud of him!

Hope you too will have a nice day at your church tomorrow!!
God bless you!!!

Mother's day @ the church

So this is how we celebrate the Mother's day today at the church, All the children who have moms there were called in the front then they gave flowers (some have cards) to their moms and all the moms were also asked to come to front with their kids and then they hugged and the Leaders prayed fro mothers. I cried for two things :

1. I miss my mom so much
2. I have yet to be called a mom

You can not measure how great a mother's love is, I can tell how big their heart is for their children.

My mom whom I call Nanay did things for me even when I am already grown up and working, she will wash my office uniforms I am too tired to do that, she will prepare my food and even now that she's old (she's 71) she's never too tired to serve us all. I really miss her.

I can imagine her asking me what I want to eat whenever I go home to our home province and I'm sure if she's with me right she'll ask what I need and chat with me while I am bloging, surfing ,playing games and reading this lipozene reviews in the net.

She's very hardworking and I love her very very much. She's coming here on the 17th and we hope to have a belated Mother's day celebration by then.

How about you? How did you celebrate Mother's day today? Did you call your mom? didi you sned her gifts?
