Prayers please

Two weeks to go and we're off to Singapore for the Mission's Conference. And what we have is only our plane tickets. We still do not have the money for the registration fee and for the travel tax and everything else.

My husband attempted to raise funds ( I know he wrote some of our friends but no one positively responded as of to date as far as I know). And in his desire to at least help me financially, he accepted a t-shirt printing job but little did we know that this will become more of a headache to us than a blessing (at least at my point of view-I am sure God sees it differently) Right now we have to recover at least  6,000.00 pesos ($136.00) for the t-shirts we bought  but made the wrong print. Of course the client rejected it.

Recently, I am thinking to just forego the plane ticket and not attend the conference anymore but I am reminded of the "FAITH-DETERMINATION" that was preached by our Pastor weeks ago. And so I am not giving up.

We still have 13 days and I know God is never late and is never too early. He will provide and He will surely make a way. How, when, where and with whom? He only knows.

However, please keep on praying for us, please pray that our Faith becomes more stronger as we go through all of these.

God bless everyone!

UPDATE : January 29, 2011 - I  was wrong, it's not only worth 6,000 pesos but more than 7,000.00. And we are selling it for us to recover the money. As of to date, 12 t-shirts sold. Please keep on praying for us. And if your heart says you want to help, you can do so by buying the shirt. We sell it for what it's cost 80.00. Thanks everyone!!

2011 Mission's Conference

It's now confirmed that we are going to attend the East Asia Regional Conference this coming February in Singapore. Praise the Lord!!Our beloved Pastor booked our ticket last Tuesday. I pray that this mission's conference will brought something new into our hearts as we continue to serve the Lord here in the Philippines. I also pray that the Fishnets Ministry whom we are going to represent will gain more exposure and I also hope to meet those who partnered and supported us from Singapore last year.

We have yet to established an office of our own, we do not have office tables or computers for office use, or hp printers or anything that you so usually find in office set up, this ministry doesn't even have full time workers (we are all volunteers) and yet I know we are rich because our God is big!!

Back to the mission's conference, we still need funds for the registration fee, as a matter of fact, nothing has been paid yet but again I do not worry because I have lifted them up to the Lord and I am very very SURE that He will provide.

DARFUR needs YOUR HELP

ITEAMS ITeams Darfur Emergency Relief

DARFUR NEEDS YOU

Sudan has expelled 13 relief and humanitarian agencies that previously met 60% of the needs of displaced people in Darfur. Over one million people in Darfur could go without food within two months if new aid agencies cannot assist.

An ITeams worker just returned from a four-day trip to northern Darfur. He reports:

“People are suffering in the desert and have nothing to eat or drink. They are searching for food, water, and shelter. They eat what few leaves they can find in the merciless desert. One of the displaced people told us: ‘I would rather die than see my wife and children starving and crying out for food and water’. In the midst of the difficult situation, God is at work, drawing people to Him. We met many believers during our visit. The people study the Bible, pray, and worship in their own languages."

The Sudanese government is allowing Sudanese churches to help people in Darfur. We need to do everything we can to resource these churches for this purpose. Our friends in Khartoum have a strong history of serving the people in Darfur. They are well-connected to churches in Sudan, through which they can serve the suffering people of Darfur. They are trying to raise $28,000 to cover the costs of an emergency relief trip to bring wheat, dry milk, beans and sugar to the people of Darfur. As soon as the funds are raised, these supplies can be taken to Darfur.

You can help!

  1. Give a gift to our DARFUR EMERGENCY RELIEF fund
  2. Pray for the people of Darfur and for those trying to help them
  3. Spread the word about this opportunity to help
