Praying for a ministry vehicle

A service car for our church-that is exactly what we need. Last Sunday, the worship service was delayed because the vehicle we are borrowing (to transport stuff in our worship venue) every Sunday was broken. Good thing another member has an available van that morning. Thank God.

The church needs it more than ever now, we are growing and we need one for all our ministries. The Selah band needs it too because they always travel as a group. But honestly right now we don’t have the funds to buy even for a second hand one.

But we trust God for His provisions. We will appreciate it very much if you can include it in your prayers.

If I have the means I have probably donated one for our church. Our motorcycle has been our ministry service ever since but sadly though it can only fit two people. But we are not losing hope, I know someday soon our Pastor will ask me to look for second hand van for sale and will ask me to inquire about it. I'll probably  inquire about atvs for sale too :)

Thank everyone you for praying with us. God bless!!!

Ministry Meeting

We had our first ministry meeting tonight. And though some of the problems from 2010 are still there we are all determined to do better this year.

The team have laid out plans for each ministries (health, education and youth) and we are all excited, surely this year will be BIGGER.

We will have three DVBS (Daily Vacation Bible School) this coming summer. One in Bataan, in Sta Lucia and here in our church.

I am also happy that the youth will have the chance for a local mission trips through these Vacation Bible School.

Another area for the feeding ministry will be added so we will have three areas this year. It used to be four but we decided to do less last year but as I have said God is doing it BIGGER this time.

We will have two "Praisin Kids' town (mini carnival) again, one for the BIBU kids and the other for the Special Children.

And the Back to School Hygiene Day is also up on schedule.

Plus there are lot of special activities on plan that we hope to take place this year.

The HEALTH ministry is also doing it much much BIGGER this year. They are already working for the Medical Mission on the 23rd of July.

With all that plans laid out, we covet your prayers for we know we can not do this alone. We need prayer warriors and I hope I can count on you. Some of our prayer items are :

1. Volunteers- we surely need extra hands. We need teachers for the weekend feeding and teaching program, we also need one who would be responsible for the material handling especially for all the major activities.

2. Finances - Bigger works means bigger expenses but it's okay because if that would mean bigger harvest for souls, bigger number of families transformed, bigger number of youth changed, so please please if you knew someone who have the heart for this kind of ministry, if your church is willing to support please let us know.

3. Prayer Warriors - we need all the prayers for all of these to take place.

I'll be updating from time to time about everything that is happening in our ministry so we could all give the GLORY TO GOD!! The reason why we are doing all of these.

Car Dilemma

Our motorbike is our only means of transportation and most of the time we often use it for ministry purposes, just recently, my husband bought new set of tires for it, But it is very frustrating that after a few weeks of using the new tires, the interiors has to be replaced again because we often have flat tires. And if you are in the middle of the road and no vulcanizing shop in sight it can be very frustrating I tell you.

We do want a car because it is more safety but we can not afford it. Do I pray for a car?, Definitely yes and I know God will honor our prayer someday soon. As a matter of fact. we already have the kind of car we want, we don’t need too much car accessories but hubby will surely want some good car grilles or spoiler or mugs. But right now, we have to settle for our motorbike. I hope the new interiors will last longer until such a time that we can afford to buy new ones.

Ministry Updates

Update on our Malaysia mission trip : February 25 is our faith date according to hubby, we needed to raise at least $650 for this trip and right now we still don't have any cents but we have friends who said they will give support..Praise God! Hubby and me are attending ACCESS training (training for missionaries) before we go probably 3rd week of February.

Update on Ministries : Music ministry is doing good, last Sunday there is a newcomer who auditioned and wants to be in the worship team, another one who has been in training for 5 weeks now is also doing fine, he'll be under discipleship or mentoring and hopefully by March, he'll be ready to be on the worship service to play guitar.

Urban poor kids ministry will resume tomorrow in two areas, this time we will offer tutorial to kids who struggles in their studies, there will be feeding, singing and bible story alongside with it. please pray that these kids will be instrument for the whole family to be saved.

Update on my mother : she went to see a doctor yesterday, bless the good heart of our good neighboor who happens to be her friend that accompanied her to the provincial hospital. She texted me and said she's doing okay now. I hope this time she really would stop smoking though it is not like this Rocky Patel cigars which I think is expensive , I still would want her to give up that habit.please remember her also in your prayers.

Utility Van for the ministry

Christmas is just around the corner, 32 days to go and everyone seems to be excited, people are buying gifts already, some are even finished with their list while me on the other hand hasn’t started anything yet. I just don’t feel it yet at this moment. Oh wait, last month I wrote my wish list and posted it in my other blog and guess what? a good blogger friend said she now knows what to get me. That’s the advantage of having your wish list published.

And talk about wish, the husband and I have the ultimate wish list for next year or the next year or the in the future years to come. It is something that we can use for the ministry, something that we really need for the ministry. We are actually praying for a car, nope not the expensive chevy but we are praying for this utility van.

photo from sulit.com

It is perfect for the ministry because it is very spacious, we can carry all our stuff, children’s tables and all the materials we need for the Saturday feeding and literacy program. This cost roughly 600 to 700 thousand pesos or $16,000.

But wait, that’s nothing compare to this yellow 2010 audi s4,

look at that! It is so beautiful but the I guess the price is beautiful too! but then again taht's a real beauty. And here’s another one, it’s the 2010 audi a4. Wow!! If you have the resources and you want it, why not drive one yourself. If not, there's nothing wrong in dreaming. let's dream together.

Ministry Needs

It's been 4 days since the Praisin Kid's Town event, (see pictures below) and again from us, thank you very much for the help you extended, those who supported for funds and for those who gave their time, we are very grateful.

Now, we are working for the Christmas party for the same kids. We know very well that these kids would enjoy again the Christmas party we are preparing for them.

Please include us in your prayers again, here are our ministry needs

1. funds - we want to give each kid a grocery bag for the family to enjoy on Christmas eve.

2. toys -for the kids

3. food for the party

We also need a vehicle (van), we need this in picking up the kids in their area, bless our neighbor for lending us his in our last event. On our next mini carnival since we have now the dance pad we will just be needing our own tv not necessarily LCD tvs actually a second hand one will do just so we will not borrow na.

Again, thank you for being with us in this ministry, we will keep you all posted for the upcoming events for the kids!

God bless you all!!
