More than flowers

I know I do not have the most romantic husband ever in the whole wide world, you know the one that always gives you flowers and chocolates on valentines day (or any occasion day ) but I do not complain because I am very assured that I am greatly love by him even without those flowers and stuff. Though sometimes, I secretly wish I also have flowers to post on my instagram on Valentine's day, it's normal for every woman I guess.

But as you age, you realized there are more better ways to show you love and you appreciate your spouse, yes, far better than giving flowers and chocolates.

~Like how my husband is doing the laundry for me today at home while he should be resting because he's taken a leave from work.

~Like how he makes effort to bring and pick me up from my office everyday since we got married (except when he is out of town for mission trips or for office task now that he is working)

~Like, how he strives so hard to provide for our needs, doing what he promised when we exchange vows on our wedding day.

~Like how he stay so faithful and true to me in all sense, true to his feelings, honest with his weaknesses and shortcomings and doing his best to grown and improve.

~Like how he loves  the Lord more than anything else in this world, that alone makes me fall in love with him over and over again. I know it's peculiar but it's true, when I see him on his knees worshiping the Lord with all his being, when I see him singing songs for his creator~ it makes me love him more and deeper. And it reminds me that it was the very reason why I married him.

So yes, I may not always have flowers on valentines day but true love is more than flowers and chocolates, I hope our young girls will be more wiser when it comes to choosing  their lifetime partner and not base it on who gives the most beautiful and expensive gift on special occasion. I hope they will be wiser not to depend solely on feelings and emotions because it's not stable and marriage needs a stronger foundation.

This post does not mean though that I haven't receive any flowers from my husband ever since because to be fair, there were several occasions where he gave me flowers too (picture above)  and some material/practical gifts also. And I know if he could he will give me everything I need probably even those simple wants like a piece from Reeds mikimoto selection or maybe even luxuries things if he could but even if he can't I still LOVE him that much.

Praying and Preparing for revival

"As a farmer cannot produce a harvest but does everything to prepare his field, so we can by no means produce revival but should by all means prepare for it" - Gunter Krallman

This is actually a forty day guide, I'm on the 19th day. More than anything else, I pray for personal transformation, personal revival because I know God cannot use me as an agent of revival if I myself needs revival. This is also in preparation for our Cebu Mission camp.

Home Music Studio

One big dream of Rudolf is to built his own home music studio. And I know God will honor this dream and He will grant it someday. It is so nice to make plans actually, when we talk about building our two floor house, one of the room downstairs will be his studio, he even mention to me how big (or maybe small) it should be. And even if we are only paying for the lot today, he is now starting to collect stuff for his dream music studio. And I'm sure he would also love to have this good tc helicon voicetone correct vs xt at musicians friend.

I can see that someday, he will be producing more worship albums for new bands and talents. :)

I can see that someday, this house of us and his studio will be a blessing to others too like how the recording studio they are using is being a blessing to us also. We will pay it forward.I am so sure of that.

Psalm 139:23-24

Today I pray..

basketball and music

Rudolf has not been feeling well since last week, persistent cough is the reason. I already bought him a cough medicine because having him drink plenty of water is not helping, Praise God because since yesterday he said he is feeling better na :)

I don't like it when any one of us get sick and still have to come to office and work and do ministries as well. I know that Rudolf should have filed a leave of absence and rested but he did not. But at least I made him stay at home last night and rest instead of going to his weekly basketball game.

Basketball and music are his pastime and it makes him happy so most of the time I let him indulge. At least I'm assure of that when he is online he is just browsing some music gadget store like maybe checking classic hammerax cymbals at musicians friend or watching NBA games at you tube :) And besides he seldom goes online now.

On Sunday, they will resume recording as I have mentioned the other day and we are all excited for that. Please help me pray though that he'd be free from his cough by then.

Happy Friday and God bless everyone!

Pslam 46:1-3

This picture was the very first airplane ride of Rudolf. We went to Macau for Mission Conference (February 2009) I remember how he was so anxious about the ride, he did not sleep and was just looking around and praying. I understand because I was like that also on my first plane ride.

But isn't it comforting to know that we have God as our ever present help? That there is no reason for our fear because God is ALWAYS with us and is EVER READY to help us. Oh such loving God we have no?

Getting back on track

I know I've already mention this verse may times in this blog but isn't it so true "that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28

At the last quarter of 2013, something happened to one of Selah band member and because of that incident we were forced to make major changes in the band and of course the album recording was greatly affected. I was initially disappointed because this recording has taken much of our time and resources and efforts and it has been more than a year, then this ugly thing happened and I was really frustrated.

But you know what? God made me realized that it is actually for the good of the band, that it was not finish yet when that ugly thing happened, if the album is already available and the name of the band member is still on it, I can not imagine ourselves distributing/selling the album. We will all be forced to put it away, then all our efforts and hard work will be put to waste.

So yes, "in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" God loves us that he make sure it (ugly thing) was exposed before the album is finished. We were given a clean slate this new year. Praise God!

We are now ready to get back in track and finish the recording, we have additional works to do because they have to remove and record all the bass instrument in the songs that were already finished but that's okay with us. God is good and I know we will finish at least before our church anniversary.

We are still praying for a new bassist but I worry not because I am sure God will give us that as he has given us all the things we need in this endeavor, I'm sure He would even give us cool orchestra instruments if there is a need of it because He is just like that. God who provides.

This weekend, the band will be in the recording studio again and yes we are getting back on track!

Glory to God!

Faith Confession

I really do not know who the original source of this is, (I made the graphics) the wife of our Pastor gave it to us in one of our Intercessory prayer. Believing there is power in declaration I try to declare this everyday, every morning or every chance I have. Please feel free to grab the image and declare the same in your life. It is best to speak blessings and good things rather than rant and complain everyday di ba?
