"Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice" (Proverbs 13:10)
"Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies down." (Proverbs 26:20)
"He who loves a quarrel loves sin; he who builds a high gate invites destruction." (Proverbs 17:19)
"A hot-tempered (person) stirs up dissension, but a patient (person) calms a quarrel" (Proverbs 15:18)
"Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him, he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will" (2 Timothy 2: 23-26)
"What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight.. . Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins." (James 4: 1 - 2, 17)
"You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly?" (1 Corinthians 3:3)
"I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing." (1 Timothy 2: 8)

Shortlist for the “nice gift” to husband
His birthday is coming so soon! And although I know it would be very fine even without a gift for me, I would still want to give him something that would surprise him and make him happy. After all he deserves the best! So I made a shortlist, kind of my wish list for him.
1. Ipod –it’s still first on the list because he doesn’t only want it but he needs it.
2. A new phone – Our cellular phones are both old and both need replacement especially his which is already 6 years old.
3. A new pair of black pants- for the church services
4. Hard drive – he’s been insisting for this since our computer broke down.
I am still praying I can buy him Item #1 but again with or without a gift for me he will still be special!

None but Jesus
NONE BUT JESUS
by : Hillsong
In the quiet, in the stillness
I know that you are God
In the secret of your presence
I know there I am restored
When you call I won't refuse
Each new day, again I'll choose
There is no one else for me
None but Jesus
Crucified to set me free
Now I live to bring Him praise
In the chaos, in confusion
I know you're sovereign still
In the moment of my weakness
You give me grace to do your will
When you call I won't delay
This my song through all my days
There is no one else for me
None but Jesus
Crucified to set me free
Now I live to bring Him praise
I am yours and you are mine...
All my delight is in you Lord
All of my hope
All of my strength
All my delight is in you Lord
Forevermore
Ministry Visitors from UK
Our visitors (missionaries) from UK arrived yesterday and they will be here for one month. It’s good to have them and share with them the Philippine culture, the ministries and experience God together thru these ministries. They are staying in our church, their room I’m sure is beyond compare to what they have back home, it’s just a bed and a wardrobe cabinet and a table as small as tv stand but I do pray they will enjoy their time here.
I guess I’ll be more, I don’t know how to say this, well a good friend of mine who work with the ministry had to rest for a while and she’s a big part of the ministry so I guess part of her job will be given to me. I just hope she’ll recover soon and find in her heart to be with us again.
So I have quite problems with the schedules now but I’m sure we can work it out.
The two major activities (CLEANSING DAY) will push through as scheduled.
Orientation will be tomorrow and they’ll be reporting to International Teams office also. I already asked someone to do that in the absence of my friend.
FISHNETS ministry as new as it is needs a lot of prayer, so I hope it is not too much for me to ask you to please do pray for us.

Thankful Thursday

July will soon be over, so for this week being the last Thursday of the month, I am summing up all that I am grateful for this month.
1. First on my list would be my Sister in Law giving birth to a healthy baby boy last July 27.
2. Hubby seeing the opportunity in doing the balloon decors, I know we can make use of this when we go to overseas mission field.
3. Good health for both my mom and dad.
4. And me not getting sick this month. Thank God for the vitamins and supplements. And also me not having to worry of how to get rid of acne.
5. The re-organization of Fishnets ministry, I attended a meeting once this month and I praise God for the result. I know there’s still a long way to go for this ministry.
6. For the provision of the Lord for the whole month. We still have 3 months to pay for our motorbike and finally it will be over!
7. Changes – this month I was terminated from work but it’s ok. It’s like I was terminated form this company but the other company is absorbing me so I don’t have to worry about it. All I want and pray for is to have at least two weeks rest before moving on. It’s really complicated because I am still gonna work for the same boss I have.

Ministry Updates
This is busy month. There are two short term missionaries coming on the 2nd of August and they’ll be staying in our church. Another couple is coming on the 16th and they will stay for two weeks. There are two cleansing day happening on August 22 and August 29, there is Jam night (youth event) and one Manila tour for our visitors. All of that in the month of August. I know I won’t need any weight loss pill this month because I’ll be doing a lot of work. But Guess what? It feels good though I know there will be lots of headaches and hard work to do because this is what I really want to do. There is a big difference when work gets toxic at the office. Oftentimes I feel burnt out and tired. But not when you know you are doing what God wants you to do, when you are doing what He has called you to do.
God bless everyone!!
God bless everyone!!

Ipod for the husband
I wish I could buy hubby an ipod on his birthday. He’s been praying for one ages ago, as a worship leader, he needs to study new song from time to time and until now he’s still relying to an old cd player and the media player in our computer. He has mentioning he needs a player that is mobile like something he can bring when he go to ministry or to elsewhere. But ipods are expensive. I’ve been looking around for cheap ones and I hope I will be able to buy him one soon. Or maybe I'll get him a good MP4 player which is cheaper of course. What do you think? Just wanna bless hubby on his birthday.

Thankful Thursday-Victory

This week's theme is Victory..and I want to share this old song I used to sing when I was still young..
Victory I have in Jesus Christ
Forgiveness for He was crucified
Fullness in every part of me
Deliverance His life has set me free
I'm reigning with Him upon the throne
And conquering over satan's power below
Living a life with Christ as Lord and King.
I don't remember the lyrics anymore, I hope I got it right..
But it's very true, we have VICTORY because of JESUS. I know I have been victorious over some trials not because I am strong but it's because I have Jesus. One particular thing I am so thankful I have victory over is my being "nearly addicted to alcohol". When I went back to the Lord and repented, He restored me fully and made me victorious over that. He is so great!!
And for this week, I am also thankful for the following;
* Last Sunday's birthday party of our goddaughter Nicole- we love her so much and we her god parents prepared a small party for her. She was so happy and you can see in her eyes how she enjoyed it. She is now two years old.
* For my Brother in laws birthday party too last Tuesday night - I just praise God that even though we are also in need, we can still be a blessing to others, Having two parties in a row means spending money also (we bought the cake for both of them also) , But It's worth it, seeing them happy and enjoying, it's all worth it.
I can't imagine the loads of food I had too, good thing I am still not resorting to diet pills. Just have to remind my self to do more exercise.
* For the lesson I have learned with regards to married life this week- This one I am really thankful for because I know money can't buy you lessons learned. Life is too short to spend over petty quarrels. I realized that after reading a wife's story who lost her husband eight months after their marriage. And guess what? God send me that email right at the very moment when I was so mad to hubby. God is so AMAZING!!

Blessed be your name Lord!!!
Blessed be your Name
by:Matt Redman
Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name

Good morning
everyone!
It’s still a cloudy Monday here, it’s not raining anymore but it may rain again this afternoon. We had lots of rain since last week, the prayer meeting last Friday was canceled due to the storm. I hope this will be a good week for all of us. It’s been raining trials too and right now I am praying for miracle.
God is good all the time, even in times of trials, His goodness never change even a bit. And I will continue to pray and worship HIM whether it is raining or not.
Anyways, for those who are in need of home alarms a lot of homeowners are getting one for themselves now a day. I guess everyone has the need to feel safe. Please take a look of this alarm system store I found in the internet, who knows you might find what you need there.
Wishing you all a nice week!!
