Great Sunday

We were in another church yesterday and I know me and Rudolf both missed the regular Sunday worship we've been used to but attending in another church as a plain attendee is a breather and even if we did come late we were still blessed.

It was a small church compared to our church and the preacher is a youth pastor which I think is younger than my husband and I guess would explain why attendees are more of young people than adults.

He spoke of a very simple yet powerful message. "Are we truly born-again?"

Sometimes we needed to hear the simplest word, the simplest question and that would be enough to get us back to our feet.

And as I checked against my self I know I still fail many times in many aspects. But the good thing is rising up in every failure. Right?

We had a great Sunday yesterday, we spent the whole day with the whole family and it was one of the best weekend I had this year so far. For once I had a relaxed mind not thinking of anything except for nursing uniforms which is minimal :) I was indeed blessed!

How's your Sunday? have you been to any church? Were you blessed?

Home

Sometimes I long to be home.

Not that I do not have a home here but when you feel sad and gloomy, when you need rest, when you need a mother’s embrace and assurance that you are loved, when you need a certain security from everything that’s bothering you, you long to be “home”.

It doesn’t even matter if it is a small house, a tiny space in the side of the street, a shanty, a mansion or a manufactured home, I know we all have in our heart what we called “home” and it varies on how you define home in your heart.

Past happenings in our family made me long for home…. in the warmth and comfort of my mother’s love.

A wedding anniversary treat

Talking about friends in my last post,another great surprise for me and my husband came last Sunday after the worship service, a couple friend invited us for lunch, I initially thought we will just have an ordinary lunch and meeting for their daughter's upcoming birthday but I was wrong, we were truly touched when they said it was a treat for our wedding anniversary :)

We celebrated our 5th year last April 21 and we had no celebration as couple at all but praise God we were able to dine out in this fancy restaurant because of great friends! and of course we enjoyed the food and the company :)
                                                               (I look funny/weird here :D )

To know in your heart that you have friends who cares and who are there when you need them is such a blessing. Di ba?

And before I go and read about the latest running shoes which I hope I can have someday soon, let me say thank you again to my friends!

I am really blessed!! and I hope I can return the favor someday :)

True friends

If there's really one thing I found out and am thankful for in the recent tragedy our family went through is "knowing friends that really care enough” and I am so much grateful for the Lord that He has given me friends like that.

I was actually not telling a lot of my friends about it but this one friend of mine when she learned about it invited me for a cup of coffee (she knew me well enough that a cup of good coffee will brighten my day) and to my surprise the next day she even extended a financial assistance without me asking for it because she knew also that we badly need it) I was overwhelmed by the thought that I have such a very good friend. It’s very rare now a days and I am so thankful I have one!

Some friends will just be there in good times, chit chatting, talking about houses, what they haves and what they’ve got, talking about furniture or snapper mowers, really shallow things but true friends are there when you are in trouble and they will help even without you asking.

And I know you are reading this blog my dear, I just want you to know I am very grateful I have found a friend in you! Love you and your son to the fullest!

All things work together for good

Romans 8:28 (New International Version, ©2011)

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And I can say it again and again that God is good! even if we are caught in a not so good situations, even if we think we are in the worst, even if we face giants and mountains of troubles. GOD is still GOOD and HE will always be.
You need not lose hope because all things work together for good to those who love God. He is always in control and if you surrender everything to Him, He will gladly help you and comfort you.
I know sometimes it's hard to see that way, sometimes it's easier to trust man whom you can see to help you and deliver you out of trouble but we have to learn that GOD is our ONLY HOPE and that HE is the God of impossible.
with that there's no reason not to give thanks and praise Him!
And because I have given up all our worries in His feet I can now sing praises and rejoice (I can even read hgh reviews now) and have peace in my heart that HE is in control!
Flowers to cheer me up
Tomorrow is our 5th wedding anniversary and although I said before I would prefer a practical gift rather than flowers, I still wish the husband will have in his hands flowers to send me tomorrow. I am sure that will cheer me up and will make my day. If you notice I have not posted for almost three weeks because I was busy the whole time, the Vacation Bible School, a friend's wedding and my office work drained me and flowers specially intended for me would be of help plus a cup of good coffee never fails.
I'm still at work today and as it is still a busy day here in the office and the JESUS FESTIVAL (12 hour worship) is happening this afternoon so I am trying to finish everything so I can be with our worship team and I'll be on leave MOnday and Tuesday for the Youth Camp.
see? flowers, coffee, chocolates, friends and family- I need all the happy thoughts and energizers :) send one my way please.
April ministries, random thoughts
It's APRIL already...time flies so fast, it feels only yesterday when we were still planning for the whole year and now we're almost in the middle of the year. April will be one of the busiest month for me in the ministry, the Vacation Bible School "The Lost World" will happen on the 11th to 14. My friend is getting married on the 16th. And there is youth camp and other activities lined up for April. But I am promising my self that I will rest from all the ministries after summer. I will just finish all my commitments.
The husband and I are no longer staying in the mission's house, as I have mentioned in my other blog, we've already moved our belongings to the new place and we are still arranging and fixing all the house stuff as of now. I still feel uncomfortable in the new place and haven't adjusted but I'm coping up. I know when all the repairs, the cleaning we are doing is over I'll be alright. I do not wish for a super big house with grand furniture or laminate floor, I only want a place where I could have peace and quiet when I most need it.And I guess the Lord answered that prayer of mine. It's so quiet there especially at night.
It's been 5 days since we're on our own and I praise and thank God for the husband has showed how much he love me and how much he is willing to do a lot of things for me just so I will feel comfortable, if there is something that this moving has done good to me, it's that I am re-assured that  married the right guy, the best that God has chosen for me. And I am falling in love with him over and over again.
Thank you Lord :)
VBS postponed, meeting and change
The VBS schedule will not push through as planned, most of the kids will still be on the school on that date (April 4-8)so we have to move it on another date. I heard it will be on 3rd week of April. Our ministry team will meet tonight and I guess that will be on the agenda.
I was talking to a team mate over yahoo messenger a while ago and we had a nice talk about what’s going on and what’s needed to do with the ministry, honestly, I needed that kind of discussion and I need more. I needed to push my self and encourage my self and motivate my self to do my best and not become frustrated to what was not being accomplished. And we both conclude that it’s time to shift although we know that it’s not as easy as changing channels or having a wii remote controller but I agree, it’s time we do shift or revamp or change whatever that word is.
And I like that we will change for the better, we will change to serve the community better and maximize the potentials of each of us and really work as a team.
rest and vitamins
The last thing we need at this point of time is to get sick, that's why Rudolf started taking his vitamins again (he's coughing hard for few days now) and I know I need the best multivitamin for women too because number one, I bleed excessively (have not been taking iron supplement for a month now) second, I always always sleep late, earliest would be 1:00 in the morning and  third, last week I started feeling dizzy for few times in a day so it's time to take supplements. Rest is still at the far end of the line ( I don't see it yet) so it's best to just feed and nourish this body so it can keep up to whatever I am doing now.
But don't worry friends and families..I will take some REST after all these activities of mine.
