Good morning

everyone!

It’s still a cloudy Monday here, it’s not raining anymore but it may rain again this afternoon. We had lots of rain since last week, the prayer meeting last Friday was canceled due to the storm. I hope this will be a good week for all of us. It’s been raining trials too and right now I am praying for miracle.

God is good all the time, even in times of trials, His goodness never change even a bit. And I will continue to pray and worship HIM whether it is raining or not.

Anyways, for those who are in need of home alarms a lot of homeowners are getting one for themselves now a day. I guess everyone has the need to feel safe. Please take a look of this alarm system store I found in the internet, who knows you might find what you need there.

Wishing you all a nice week!!

Psalm 139:7-18

(New International Version)

7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, a]">[a] you are there.

9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,

10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"

12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you.

Thankful Thursday

"Give thanks with grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He gave Jesus Christ"

From the song "Revelation"

***********************************************************************************

Last Friday, our worship team participated in a 12 hour non-stop praise and worship again, this is our second time for this year. The organizers called it “Hallelujah Worship”. We were on a 4 AM slot and there were only few people left, hubby and I finished the whole program so we really are sleepless last Friday night but that doesn’t matter. I enjoyed it specially the last hours of the worship time. It’s very seldom that I do actually worshiping and singing songs for the Lord on wee hours of the morning and it feels so right. I praise and thank God for that wonderful experience!

And like Lynn, I am also thankful that I found Christian blogs in the internet, like the blogs of the Thankful Thursday participants, reading posts about their lives and journeys encourages me most of the time. And isn’t it nice to read praises for our Father every now and then? In the world where everyone is rushing, it is so good to hear someone pausing and giving thanks to the Lord.

Pure Joy

James 1:2-3 (New International Version)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

Play golf?

Do you play golf? Who plays golf here? Well, I don’t and never had a chance to play that except for the mobile games golf. But I guess that would be one good experience. If you are playing or want to learn the game there is this site that offers some golf training aids reviews. Golf is an interesting sport, I am always fascinated with Tiger woods but here in my country, golf is only for the rich people. Well, I hope I can even hold a golf club someday. Hehe!

Anyways, just want to leave you this verse before I go ;

Philippians 2:4 (New International Version)

Each of you should look not only to your own interests,
but also to the interests of others.

God bless everyone!

Thankful Thursday

I still do not know what the theme for this week because it is not yet Thursday in some part of the world. I guess I am a bit early but that's fine, I might not have an Internet access later so I better finish this meme now.

For this week I am thankful for the following;

1. Healing - I got sick last week, I thought there is really something wrong with me. Praise God for HE is our Healer.

2. I can't thank HIM enough for giving me my husband. When I was sick and couldn't do a thing on my own, he showed me even more how much he love me, he fed me, prayed for me,take good care of me. I know I am blessed with a wonderful godly husband.

3. I am thankful I had the chance to read Priscilla Shirer's " A jewel in His crown" -rediscovering your value as a woman of excellence. I love this one. I am relearning things in new perspective.

So there's my list for this week. How about you? You can share your thankful heart with us too. Lynn is hosting for this month.

Overcoming Difficult Times

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God"
(Psalm 42:5-6, NIV).

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

When times get tough, don´t be surprised if you feel a heaviness trying to overwhelm you. Don´t be surprised if you hear negative thoughts telling you, "It´s never going to work out. Things are never going to get better. It´s over. It´s done." When those thoughts come, remember, you have a choice–you don´t have to believe those lies. You don´t have to get on board with your emotions.

In the Bible, David encountered many difficult situations. That spirit of heaviness tried to steal his destiny. He got depressed and discouraged, but do you know what he did? He started talking to himself. He said, "Why are you cast down, oh my soul? Put your hope in the Lord." He was saying, "David, snap out of it! Why are you discouraged? Why have you lost your joy? God is still on the throne, and He still has good things in store." When that heaviness tries to come on you, do what David did. As you put your trust in the Lord and praise Him, He´ll give you His strength and empower you to overcome every obstacle you may face!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for the strength to overcome the difficult times. I choose to shake off the spirit of heaviness by praising and worshiping You. I bless You today and always. In Jesus´ Name. Amen.

Thankful Thursday

I missed the Thankful Thursday last week, I have so much in my hands right now and I don't have much time to write and visit blogs but I don't want to miss it again this week because writng this meme is like a therapy to me and I needed that badly.

Lynn chose FREEDOM as this weeks theme and the word is perfectly right for me.

I've been seeking the Lord and asking Him for His direction to me because totally I have no more peace of doing what I am doing now (office job) so I am seriously praying if this is the right time to leave.

Well, God gave me this word last week.

And now He gave me this word FREEDOM. So what does it mean to me? That I have freedom to choose. God has given me the spirit of freedom. So whether I stay here or not regardless of what HE wants for me then it's up to me. He has given me freedom to say yes or not, freedom to obey HIM or not. What a loving Father we have in HIM.

Decision making is so tough specially when it comes with consequences but if I don't decide I'll be forever stuck in this. Of course the only thing that worries me so much is the compensation I get in working. But God promised if I obey HE will provide.

I remember this from a Pastor " When there's mission, there's provision"

So there, I am thankful for God's loving arms and words this week. Thank you Lord for staying with me all the time.

PRAISE HIM!!!!

at the edge of my cliff

And just when I needed to hear from GOD..this is what HE said

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff , trust Him fully and let go , only 1 of 2 things will happen , either He'll catch you when you fall , or He'll teach you how to fly! 'The power of one sentence! God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favor. . God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close.

Do not complain!!

Just want to make a quick post here before I get to do all my pending task here in the office and do that research about life insurance quote.

I was absent from work yesterday, I have to accompany our two missionaries in an out of town trip. Liz is going home on Friday which is sad because I will surely miss her and we specifically did that trip for her to see a bit of our countryside. She had fun I guess. We all had fun.

And I am supposed to be working now so I just want to leave you with this devotion I have read form our daily bread which I think is very timely for me and for the ministry team i worked with.

“ we need to avoid a complaining spirit when serving Christ. Instead, rejoice and thank God for all He has done! – Bill Crowder

Phil. 2:14 says;

“Do all things without complaining and disputing”

Have a nice day!!
