Thankful Thursday

Once again, Lori is hosting the TT for this week. Thank you so much. I went over to her site this morning and my heart cried as I read through her thankful post. Why? because I have so many insecurities too. Sometimes I struggle so hard to give my best in everything I do not knowing that I am stressing my self too much and I know that can be insecurity, you try to be so good and best because you want people to accept you.

Praise God I have a FATHER who doesn't look on what I can give but loves me the same. And I thank HIM so much for that faithful LOVE and never ending GRACE.

I am also thankful this week for the blesings He sent us through some friends.

-A young missionary from Canada who went here 2 years ago sent us something for the Macau Mission's conference.Thank you Kirby!

- Our friend Lester and Jerlyn from Georgia sent us some funds to also for the conference.

-And a lot of our churchmates are buying the t-shirts we are selling as a means of fundraising for that mission trip.

We still need a lot and we only have 10 days left. But in times like this. I trust GOD to take control of everything.

Remember how He fed Elijah when he has nothing to eat? He can use even the ravens to meet your needs in time.

happy Thankful Thursday everyone!

Desperate and tragic times

A man killed his children, his wife and then himself because they lost their jobs.

You can read the whole story here.

That is very tragic.

I pray people turn in to GOD in desperate times because I am so sure GOD is ABLE to help.

I pray there won't be anymore mass death/suicide because of global crisis or because of hard times.

I remember there was also an incident something like that here in the Philippines. A woman poisoned her kids and herself too because they are so poor.

It's very sad. These are trying times but in times like this, let us all remember that there in one UPTHERE whom we can turn into, if you need to unload, He is just there ready to listen.

IT Regional Conference-Macau

It's official, just finished filling up the registration form online so I can say it is now official that we are attending the conference.

I am excited. :)

Jehovah Jireh

Our provider
You are more than enough for me.........

He provided for us, he is providing now and I know he will provide always as HE promised.

Two weeks to go before our trip to Macau and so far we have paid at least $270 for our registration. We have also $100 at hand. So that means we still need at least $300 for the trip. I'm sure it is on our way now.

I am completely amazed how our Father give us what we need just in time. In His perfect time.

I thank HIM for the friends who supported and will support us. For the provision of every cents we need.

You are an amazing GOD!!!

Refiners Fire

Yesterday, me and hubby attended the Intercessors of our church on their regular Saturday prayer meting. We were asked to attend in preparation for the worship babad (soaking) on Friday.

God really blessed us inside, they prayed first for Rudolf and then me.

It was such a great experience with the Lord. I know we have been very complacent this last few months, especially me but praise God for the conviction.

I realized that the way I react with situations is brought about by the not so good relationship with the Lord. Indeed when your relationship with HIM is alright, your relationship with people around you will also be alright.

I just wanna praise God for the forgiveness and grace always. I also acknowledge that what ever is happening in our life now is part of a gold or silver being refined in God's fire.

I am that GOLD in HIS EYES.

BEING REFINED EACH DAY

Thankful Thursday

This time Lori is hosting the thankful Thursday-thanks so much! and she chose PRAYER as her theme this week.

Here's my list :

1. If you notice prior to this post I asked for some prayer for hubby who will for the first time speak in our prayer meeting and I am thankful even now for those who will pray for him.

2. I am thankful that hubby was given the chance to grow up in terms of spiritual level and learn something new. Who knows he might have the gift also of a preacher? :)

3. I am thankful that I have friends whom I can always ask for prayer support in times of our needs.

4. I am thankful that I can talk to the LORD anytime of the day through PRAYER.

5. I am thankful God for showing me my heart this week and I thank HIM even more for the forgiveness and grace.

6. I am also thankful that even though we don't have the funds yet for the mission's conference in Macau, He has given as the assurance that He will provide.

If you want to see more thankful souls and if you want to join, come visit Lori's site this week and next week.

Rudolf as speaker

Can I ask for your prayer please?

My hubby will be speaking on Friday in our regular prayer meeting. This is his first time so I am quite nervous about it. You see, hubby has the gift in leading the worship but he is not really good in speaking, he tends to speak fast when he is excited or he’s nervous.

But we want to take this opportunity as part of something new that God is giving us.

He said he will talk about “double portion” and will quote the prophet Elijah and Elisha. Please say a little prayer for him.

Thanks so much!

From The Inside Out (hillsong United)

A thousand times I've failed
Still your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
Still I'm caught in your grace

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart, in my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Your will above all else, my purpose remains
The art of losing myself in bringing you praise

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart, in my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Chorus 2x

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out Lord, my soul cries out

This song spoke to the deepest of my heart yesterday as hubby sang it at the church, I know I have failed my Father thousand times and I know I am even failing HIM now, I am just so blessed for His MERCY and GRACE. And yes, my hearts cry out to give HIM praise not just from the lips but from the INSIDE OUT.

You can listen to the song here.

Thankful Thursday

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”’ ~ Mark 10:27 (ESV)

This week theme is perfect for me. I praise God for how HE works with Christians all over the world and today HE used this Thankful Lady host to encourage me once more that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD.

I needed to hear this today.

"Remember: never give up on a dream – be patient – as you know: All things are possible with God"

And thank you so much for telling me that Iris. God bless you on your photography.

- This past few days I started worrying about the money we are going to use in Mission's conference in Macau and honestly I worry so bad. I think of how huge the money needed and I just couldn't imagine how are we going to support ourselves. We've been thinking of fund raisings and extra income jobs but still I know it will not suffice.

But right now-I am reminded that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD, and it has long been our dream to go out of the country, do mission work and this is the start of that dream.

I am ashamed actually of forgetting that there is nothing too difficult for God and that I just needed to TRUST HIM MORE than I TRUST HIM NOW.

THANK YOU LORD FOR THE PROVISION THAT IS ON OUR WAY NOW!!!!

Excited and Afraid

God has already confirmed to us that he is giving us new direction this year. My husband and I are pretty much excited about it. This February as we attend the International Teams East Asia Regional Conference, I know in my heart that this will be the start.

Are we going out on a mission already? Out of the country? Long term? Where?

That has yet to be answered.

And I tell you, I am excited and afraid too. I guess my being afraid of the changes that may take place will help me cling to my Lord even more. That fear will drive me to move even closer into the hands of God.

There's something going on in my heart right now. I just don't know how to say it.

I already told hubby that for this year I'm not gonna handle any ministries in the church, even the scholarship program which I spearheaded will likely be taken off my hands-that is if someone from my church has a burden and is willing to take the responsibility.

I just want to be closer with God now. I just hope I'm doing the right thing.

Lift Up Your Head

Today's Scripture

"Lift up your heads…that the King of glory may come in" (Psalm 24:7, AMP).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Are you ready for God to come in and fight your battles? Then it’s time to lift up your head. It’s time to get a vision of yourself rising higher. See, your life is going to follow your vision. You can’t stay focused on defeat and expect to move forward in victory. But when you lift your head, when you focus on the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, your focus is in the right place. You are setting yourself up to be a candidate of God’s blessing and favor.

How do you lift your head? By thinking higher thoughts. By speaking God’s Word. By seeing yourself the way God sees you. That means if you’re sick, you’ve got to start seeing yourself well. If you’re struggling in your finances, start seeing yourself with more than enough. You may have major obstacles, but see yourself rising above them. If you will lift up your head, then the Lord mighty in battle will come in. And when God shows up, every adversity will be turned to victory! Every battlefield will be turned to a blessing field, and you will live the abundant life He promised to you!

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, I choose to lift my head, to lift my thoughts, words, and actions to be in agreement with You. Thank You for fighting my battles and for leading me into victory. I love You and bless Your holy name. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Thankful Thursday

I am quite excited for this Thankful Thursday post because this is my first for this year and I hope I won’t miss any for this year. And to start with

1. I am thankful for God’s word ALWAYS assuring us that HIS PLANS FOR US is always the BEST. I thank God that I can always come to HIS WORD when I need support, comfort or peace. The last quarter of 2008 has been very rough for me and my husband but I thanked GOD because HE KEEPS US STRONG.

2. I thank God for giving us new direction for this year. Whatever and wherever that direction maybe I know He will be with us. I know in my heart He is bringing us close to what our purpose is. Our first trip outside the country this coming February to attend a Regional Mission’s Conference is a clear indication that indeed HE is giving us new direction.

3. I thank God for the HEALTH of our whole family, hubby’s side and me. My dad is turning 72 years old tomorrow and he’s healthy and strong. Praise God for that.

My list can go on and on but over all I am just thankful for what the Lord has given me, for my life, for my job, for my hubby, for the opportunities to SERVE HIM, for friends and for provisions. For more thankful souls visit Iris site.

“Oh give thanks unto the LORD for HE is good! For His mercy endures forever.”

Under The Bridge

I recently chance upon this video on you tube.Naomi and Rachel were youth missionaries from UK and they stayed in our church for months helping people under the bridge. They uploaded this video.

I wanted to write updates on the people about the video but not sure though how, but then let me try it ;

The girl who is being weighed is still underweight, she is still so skinny but they don't live there anymore.

The little boy eating with spots in his skin is not so like that now, he's clean and he is so cute!

The other boy who smiles so wide (we call him alalay) is now studying and is in grade 2.And he's doing good in school.

Another girl from that "under" is also now a scholar of the church.

And hubby is one of that guy who cuts the hair of these kids during hygiene day.

The guy who teach under the bridge is Byron, one of the staff in our church too and he's the one who discovered/befriended the people living there.

I think at least 7 families have been uprooted from under the bridge and is now leaving in a blue house, they sell fishballs on the street and they do have changed a lot.

But It is still a long long way to go.

Our church is still doing ministries for the urban poor and if you guys want to help you may do so by contacting Fishnets at International Teams Philippines at 632. 832.5142 or you can visit the website at www.itphilippines.org.

Or you may contact LJBC Global Ministry too at 632.831.5297.

Happy New Year!

Happy new year everyone!

The Abadianos had a very wonderful new year.

And we are so thankful for the past year, for God's provisions for all our needs.

This year, we face it with new HOPE and new STRENGTH as God gives us new DIRECTION in our ministries and in our lives.

Hoping you all had a wonderful start of the year too!
